In short: Brutal
In full: Given the conditions the organisers could have put on more water. Only had water every 3 miles or more. No shade no showers on route. Scenery is ok if you like the river and power station.
Cant believe someone thinks this is a London beater!! Nothing to see whereas London you are ticking off the sites and crowds all the way round cheering you on.
2 mile walk from finish to bags more long walk to buses that drop you off a mile from the city centre. Just what you need after 26.2 miles in the sun.
The finish is great and where there are people the Scots are wonderful and friendly.

In short: One to do once
In full: Well I have done it. I think my views may be affected by the fact that my time was 5 minutes slower than I wanted. The crowds were great and for someone wanting to experience a big event and not have to run a marathon distance then this is it. Very expensive but the organisation for such a massive event was superb. Disappointed by the T-shirt fussy maybe but cheap grey cotton with not much to shout about on the front. Will never wear it to run in and hardly a fashion statement. Crowded - I did expect that but my mile times were all over the place and I was in Block B. Still glad i did though
