In short: Glad I was injured!!!!!!
In full: Went to watch this year. Was upset that I couldn't run until I got to the Rec, I went to the pub with my friends who were running & we have all decided never again. Instead we will be off to the Forest of Dean next year. The sooner the organisers learn from other successful big events (GNR, FLM) the better. price wise it's a rip off. Hand it back to the local clubs to organise, Hogweed trotters, Bitton Road Runners, Chippenham; they know how to organise a race. Hope every one has dries out and their blisters, colds, etc are on the mend. As a local I am asahmed.

In short: As always, brilliant! Back next year.
In full: I didn't get a PB but I know a few who did. How????? Movingly observed silence, shame on the critic who questioned the appropriatness of it. Laughed from start to finish and almost drowned in the mud. But have worn my tee shirt with pride since. Please open entries now.

In short: My 5th GNR and worst time ever. Didn't train properly.
In full: I love this race!I have only myself to blame for the slow time, but once I accepted that my time was going to be a Personal Worst I enjoyed myself. I walked, I jogged, I ran and met some inspirational people in the process. The last mile is a killer but it was my quickest mile of the day!!!
There did seem to be fewer toilets at the start, but we arrived early so there was no problem, goody bag a bit disappointing, but if you did Bristol you wouldn't complain! The walkers at the start were a pain and when I walked I did try to keep out of the runners way, sorry if I impeded anyone, but I got to 9 miles before walking.
You can't blame the organisers for the cost of travel, accommodation or parking, this is beyond their control.
I will do it again next year, crossing the Tyne Bridge with the red Arrows flying overhead always brings a lump to my throat, (I'm an expat geordie) and will continue to do so as long as I can stand.
Shaking Sir Bobby's hand also brought a lump to my throat; a great man! Well done Tyneside!!!!!

In short: What a disappointing goody bag.
In full: I hadn't trained so I didn't have any expectation of doing well. I enjoyed the race, but oh the cobbles, my feet are still suffering! The facilities were not so good, no marked first aid tent at the start/finish, very few loos on the course, lovely marshalls. But for the entry fee they were having a laugh with the goody bag, no banana, no chocolate, just as well I brought my own. Must try harder next year!

In short: Half an hour to collect my bag with my drink in and warm clothes was not a good end to a below par race.
In full: Better organized than previous years but still not enough loos either at the start or aroud the course, (I lost 14 minutes waining to go to the loo on the course, I was very tempted to go behind a hedge!). I actually saw a marshall smoking (what sort of message does that send, were we slower runners keeping him from his Sunday afternoon visit to the pub? Where were the friendly marshalls all the ones I had dealings with were real grumps. Give me the Great North Run any time!

In short: I said never again as I crossed the line but 30 seconds later I was already planning next year's race!
In full: I had a great time at the back and felt encouraged all the way round very friendly runners and spectators and marshalls. I'm now very wet and tired but I really can't wait until next year! I must be barking when I could have stayed in a nice warm bed with the Sunday papers and a nice hot coffee. See you next year!

In short: The Industrial Estate is depressing if you're a slower runner,no support which made it torturous
In full: Last year was great, but this year I struggled and enduring the lonliness of that estate made it worse. Please get more loos, add an extra drinks station on that estate (preferably) and bring back the tee shirts, they'd sold out by the time I finished. The home made cakes were nice though and as always the marshalls are very friendly and supportive. Not a favourite this year.

In short: Worth the trip. A great day out. Can't beat the atmosphere the people are special.
In full: I wasn't convinced about thestart. Some of the marshalls allowed people with lower start times to move up the grid which really annoyed me, however that was only a minor gripe, I'm a jogger not a sprinter. As always the crowd support is fantastic and considering the volume of people concerned at the start and finish a very smooth organisation, as always not enough loos, I lost 10mins with a pit stop as I had to queue so long at about 10miles I didn't dare do a Paula!!!!Not a bad goody bag, but where was the pasta?

In short: I think the organisers idea of undulating and mine are poles apart. I saw hills!!! Not a good run for me, but that was my fault due to lack of training. A good day out.
In full: I enjoyed the day and I lived to tell the tale, a personal worst but I haven't trained as well as I would have liked. I managed to run up all the hills (for once) they usually defeat me. Pewswey have produced another wonderful race.I'm now looking forward to the Terminator!!!!!

In short: What happened to the weather?
In full: I got absolutely soaked, I was slower than last year, my legs ached and the hills got steeper. I know I'm older but hey I'm supposed to be fitter! I had a great time despite the weather, I'll be back nest year work permitting
