In short: Great race, but something was missing...
In full: Great race, i did the 2005 one, and even with a route change it was as good. But somehow there didnt seem to be a great atmosphere, as you would expect at this time of year. Crowd support seemed very poor, apart from at the finish line, which usually makes an event like this.
Still, it was well organised, and i would do it again as my last race of the year.

In short: Faultless event !!
In full: Really enjoyed this race, great organisation and excellent scenery. A couple of short steep hills in the last 1.5 miles, but mainly flat or downhill elsewhere. Highly recommended !! Definately in my top 5 favourites.

In short: HILLY!!!!!!!
In full: Great race but very tough, the last 2.5 miles are easy, the rest is hard! Dissapointed not to get some kind of momento having booked in advance.

In short: As usual an enjoyable event.
In full: A well organised hugely enjoyable race, but that hill at 12 miles doesnt get any easier ! Recommended.

In short: No easier than last year!
In full: Once again a well organised event with fantastic crowd support en-route ,a massive thank you to all the supporters who got hose pipes and water guns out to cool us down as the heat was almost unbearable. A slight change to the course from last year which includes a nightmare steep climb at approx 11.5 miles. Dissapointed with my time but given the heat it was a miracle i finished at all. Best wishes to all who were taken ill during the race.

In short: TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH !!
In full: Its my home town so had to have a go at it, great support but loads of hills , Anchor Road at approx 4 mile is very steep and Mornington Road at approx 11.5 mile is a killer but crowd support on both is superb. Its worth a go but dont bank on a PB.

In short: great scenery, great course.
In full: This is the second time i have run this race and i have to say that last year was better organised, the start was late and runners were hampered by walkers who lined up at the front of the start grid making for a chaotic start. Last year we were asked to line up in accordance to our ability which made for a smooth start. I hate to whinge about the walkers as everyone was there to raise money, but some of them insisted on walking 6 and 7 abreast making it difficult to pass them on the 2nd lap, again this is down to the organisers to ask walkers to keep to the left. All complaints aside this is a good event for a great cause which can only get more popular as this years numbers have proved. The scenery alone is worth the trip.

In short: FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In full: This is one of the most amazing experiences of my life and i will never forget that day ! Everything was perfect organisation ,marshalls, course, crowd support just perfect . If anyone has ever sat watching this on TV and thought " i'd like to do that" just bite the bullet and try to get a place, it is as amazing as looks on TV ! I crossed the line grinning from ear to ear ,and will definately try to get in next year.

In short: As usual an enjoyable event.
In full: A great race for any class of runner ,a good hill after the first mile which climbs about 1.5 mile, but after that its all mainly downhill and flat. Better traffic control this year with plenty of marshalls around the country lanes and Police officers on major junctions. I got a PB this year, and will definately be back again.
