In short: Friendly; good for beginners.
In full: Good point: the loos on the far side of the stadium were finally open after many years.
Not so good point: the water stations were mostly chaos. Unsurprising, perhaps, on a hot day, but as many have pointed out, the stations themselves need to be longer - and the cups,(cups are fine for me), need to be handed out not left on the table.
HOWEVER!! MANY THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO VOLUNTEERED TO RUN THE WATER STATIONS AND ALL THOSE WHO HELPED MAKE THE EVENT WORK.

In short: Not hugely scenic, but pleasant enough. Decent people. Some Busy roads
In full: Good VLM warm-up. Low-key. Undulating, but nothing terrible. Plenty of water stations for a hot March day. Some sections on main roads, but well marshalled. Could have done with more loos, but there isn't an event in the country one couldn't say that about. The drink and a T-shirt at the end is all one needs. A perfectly decent race.

In short: Great race!
In full: Great race. Comedy start only added to the atmosphere. I'd rather take village events like this than the big MKs or Blackpools of this world. Well done all.

In short: Satisfying
In full: My only gripes would be:
1. Not enough loos - but I understand the competing demands on the facilities
2. Poor signage to the start

However, a good friendly field that was well marshalled. Many thanks.

In short: I was very tired!!
In full: Great small event - sadly lots of cars, inevitable at this time of year.
As a visitor I'd have liked a few more signs/route markers in the last three miles, but all the organisers and marshalls did a great job.
However, had a great time running with two islanders - a very nice woman and an Irishman who ran this as his first half of 1:52. Well done mate!
I'll do it next year if the family holiday fits........Leek next week

Cheers

Ken

In short: Dreadful !!!
In full: As someone who organises events for a living what I suggest everyone does is to email the organisers and tell them their specific complaints. I did, and received a very full and honest reply. It doesn't help my dehydration, but it proves they care.
Cheers
