In short: Small friendly event , actually run on Sunday 2nd Jan 2011 due to the weather
In full: This is a very nice local race. Very flat - definite PB course in non windy conditions. Low key and effective organisation. Mince pie and souvenir mug - all for £7 affiliated - bargain!

In short: Great Day out - really enjoyed it
In full: Lots of water and I for one needed it!
Roadside showers are a tremendous innovation
The crown support has to be seen (and heard) to be believed
I think the VLR could be reviewed as a music festival in its own right - the variety of live bands and orchestras etc was staggering.

In short: Well organised off road race in stunning surroundings
In full: I was definitely below par today but still had a great time. Weather was good and the organisation was excelelnt. This is a great race in beautiful surroundings

In short: Will be dropping Bristol in favour of this one!
In full: We parked quite cheaply near the start and had no need for the baggage tent. Excellent fast flat course but with very varied scenery. Very friendly feel and enjoyed it immensely. Useful shoe bag memento. Signage a little weak in places, for example it was not immediately clear where to put your chip at the end. But this was a great race and a very enjoyable day out. I plan to drop my local half and do this one instead next year.

In short: Excellent race
In full: Very cold first thing this morning (ice in the water at the drinks stations) but fantastic sunshine. Usual smooth organization with plenty of marshalls and more support round the course than usual in this length of race.
