In short: Great fun poor t-shirt In full: This year was the best of the three I have run. Roll on next year. The crowd are always fantastic at the side of the road. The volunteers at the water stations/ finish deserve their own medal for help/friendliness. Down side for three years the t-shirts have been a big advert for BUPA. I want to wear my t-shirt with pride to show I completed this race not to advertise BUPA. I know it is the taking part not the t-shirt but I still think they could put some effort into the design. Please see Blaydon Race for good examples. Ditto what everyone says about slow race - your time depends on the crowds/hold ups at the start not your personal best. Date of review: October 10, 2004

In short: Best race of the year In full: Going for fourth time in 2005. Favourite race of the year. Why? I can improve my time. Marshals extremely nice. Well organised. Competitors are very friendly and helpful when you are struggling to the finish. Other competitors line the finish to keep you running. Great t-shirts. Date of review: September 1, 2004
