In short: Good alternative to London for a Spring marathon
In full: Not as flat as London but generally flattish with a few undulations. Coastal in second half or race so wind can be (and was!) an issue.
Route has lots of loops which was a little annoying as a runner but did make it easy for spectators to spot at several places without going far, also quite nice to see how friends are getting on as there a plenty of times when you see the faster & slower runners going in the opposite direction.
Great atmosphere & organisation pretty good.

In short: Tough but satisfying!
In full: Great conditions for the race today - the absence of wind was a treat!
Challenging course but I have done worse (Stainland 7 & Guy Fawkes 10 to name a couple!)
Make sure you bring a pound for a cup of tea & one of the lovely homemade cakes!

In short: Very well organised & surprisingly fast course.
In full: Superb organisation - collecting the chips & numbers went very smoothly, plenty of marshalls & drinks round the course and no bottle necks or queues at the finish!
The course is undulating all the way round but all the hills are quite gentle and none longer than about a mile, the hardest bit is between 10 and 12 miles so the downhill finish was very welcome!
Well done Worksop Harriers

In short: Harder than I remembered!
In full: Very well organised & well marshalled race. The route is undulating with quite a tough final third. Nice souvenir. Plenty of water stops which were needed today! Thanks to Abbey Runners.

In short: Excellent Bank Hol activity!
In full: Great course, faster than you'd think considering it starts with a 3 mile hill! A bit windy today though. Great atmosphere & scenery. Well organised & nice mug too!

In short: Very enjoyable despite the weather!
In full: Undulating race, on fairly quiet rural roads. Very well marshalled - the poor marshalls must have been frozen so a big thanks to them!
I did better than I expected so left very happy.
I was well protected from the weather with hat, gloves & coat - certainly not a race for vest & shorts!

In short: Amazing atmosphere mainly makes up for the negatives
In full: Back for the third time. Positives are:
- electric atmorphere
- red arrows
- great crowd support
Negatives for me this year were:
- too many slow runners in the Orange zone this year, I was put in white zone E this year but passed 1000's of slow runners (& a few walkers!) in the first few miles.
- Family reunion area on the grass was inadequate, not enough space & couldn't sit down because of the mud
- the price...I still can't work out why it has to cost so much!

In short: Tough but satifying!
In full: Well organised & mainly on quiet roads although the last km is busy with cars & pedestrians.
Parking tricky, I would recommend coming on the train if you can.
T-shirt a rather horrific shade of yellow.
