In short: Terrific race! In full: Thanks to all involved in the organisation before and during the race. It was an extremely well-organised and, thus, enjoyable race. Very good t-shirt - just what I need to keep running throughout the winter! Date of review: October 4, 2009

In short: Hot. Very hot. Very very very hot. Flat, but hot. In full: Before the one piece of criticism, let me say that I really enjoyed my first half marathon for about 14 years. Excellent organisation, fantastic course, good value, Mars Bar a lovely touch and I fell in love with the lady with the hosepipe.
But the one piece of criticisim really needs to be addressed and that is that there was insufficient water on the fifth and final water station. Even if it had been cloudy that would have been disappointing but given how hot is was, I think it was negligent. (What made it worse was that one of the stewards was encouraging runners by telling them that the next water station was les than half a mile away.)
Ah well, it certainly won't stop me from participating next year. Date of review: July 27, 2008

In short: Best run yet - down to the course and organisation In full: First time for me - shame on me as I only live about 4 miles away. Excellent stewarding, good course, hills were not as bad as anticipated. See you next year! Date of review: July 8, 2007

In short: Got PB - would have been better but for single file bit In full: An enjoyable race well organised and marshalled. Lots of grass which, in October, means lots of mud too. Most disappointing aspect was the single file bit around 2-3 km which resulted in runners having to stand and wait around for upwards of a minute. Despite this, got a PB and would run again.
