In short: Fantastic marshalls but wind and rain made this a tough course
In full: The marshalls were fantastic. As I was going round on lap three they were still smiling and saying well done to everyone who passed inspite of the wind and the rain. The 3 lap format makes this a tough course. There is an uphill climb which seems to go on for about a mile and then you hit open fields were the wind and rain which brought many runners to a complete standstill. What makes it tough is you know what to expect on lap 2 and 3 and you know it isn't pleasant. There were a couple of very muddy and slippery sections which you had to take steadily. There were 3 water stations on each lap with a choice of water or HiFive isotonic drink. These were operated very efficiently. There were some sections on roads that had not been closed and I felt a little vunerable at times when big trucks went speeding passed. The start and finish were well organised and the finishers medal and tee-shirt were fantastic.

In short: Organisation not so good this year but still a great race.
In full: This was my third year in this race and the organisation was not as good this year as in previous years. We queued for half an hour just to get into the car park. The start was really cramped and I couldn't get near the marker for my target time. This year people were stood on the trackside which obscured the view so my wife, who was in the grandstand did not see me finish. The goody bag was rubbish so all you got for your £18 entry fee was a T-shirt. All this is a shame because this is still one of my favourite races. The marshalls were fantastic as was the crowd on the route particularly on Eccy Road the atmosphere was electric. Fantastic atmosphere for the stadium finish as well.
