In short: Fantastic after the first brutal 4k
In full: superb race, fantastic weather, beautiful scenery, brilliant atmosphere at the start/finish area and out on the hills. Kids fun trails a really nice touch. Will be back next year for this and the Ullswater one.

In short: Magnificent! views, weather, atmosphere all fantastic
In full: This was my first trail race and I thought it was a great introduction. The boat trip was a superb way to start, and apart from injuring my ankle at 5k and having to hobble the rest of the way I thought this was a brilliant race, challenging in places but easy enough for a beginner like me. My kids loved the Sammy the Squirrel Fun Trails and they were delighted with their medals.
Overall a fantastic event.

In short: absolutely brilliant
In full: This was my 1st full marathon and I enjoyed every minute of it. The crowds were amazing, the camaraderie with other runners was superb. The only downside was the restaurant we ended up in after the finish (just off Trafalgar Square) had ran out of beer!
