In short: I was just glad it hadn't rained recently
In full: A fun race that was more of a race than an obsticle course just wish I had set off a bit faster than I did. A tadge pricey saying there are no highways costs, but it was great fun and will be back this year.

In short: I'm just glad it didn't rain!
In full: The Ad on Runners World says "Changing" and "Showers". Its wasn't until I got my number I realised these were a mile away. End of a 20 miler the last thing I want is a mile stroll dragging my kit bag with me. There was an incredable lack of loos (and not very clean at that) for a race that can cater for 800. It was nice to see that chivalry was still alive and that the blokes all used the trees to the left of the path and the ladies went to the right therefore allowing some privacy. I know the addige is get there early enough. I did (before 8.00am).The race was OK the mashalls were great and going passed them four times they began to feel like family. The water stations helpers were enthusiastic with a good choice of drinks. Thanks to all of the marshals. There was chip timing on every lap. This baffled me as each lap was about 5 miles so I don't know what the relevance of these times is. At the end there was a cup of water. I would have expected at least a banana, and perhaps a bottle of sports drink. And if it had rained.............
I'm really sorry to be critical and apologise for any sarcasm, but as a customer today I have expectations at races especially of a 20 mile race in March.

In short: A vast improvement on last year's...see you next year.
In full: I think the organisers and especially the course director need congratulating on making this the best Thanet course (4 races 4 different courses) I have run. All the necessary round the houses bits to get the mileage up were on the way out and once you turned at the lighthouse it was a straightish run home. Its a shame the race HQ isn't nearer the start, but that I don't think can really be helped. At least the hall was warm and dry and you could get a much nedded cuppa afterwards. I also thought the marshals did a good job, and many I saw were busy directing traffic to ensure our safety. Thankfully the drivers in Thanet seem a bit more relaxed about road races than some in other parts of the county. The jelly babies offered by many marshalls were I am sure welcomed by many. Thanks for organising a great race which has really helped with my marathon prep for this year, and hope to be back for more in 2011.

In short: Kelly Holmes was worth the entrance money alone!
In full: Just a great race. Well organised, well marshalled, traffic was controlled excellently, and then at the finish is a double olympic champion handing out the medals and goody bags in the awful weather. What a superstar.

In short: Great Race
In full: 22 members of my running club made the journey up for this race and those going for PBs and target times almost all achieved them. The delay was one of those things but the laughter on the bus made the time fly by. Arriving at the start it did look a bit chaotic, but the excellent organisation made sure the buses and luggage had gone and getting across the line and into our stride was easy. The run route was excellently marked and well marshalled by the local Honda Goldwing Owners Club. Support in the villages was excellent and raised the morale at those crutial times. The fact there was a 10K race as well was excellent for groups like mine as it encouraged others to travel with us. My only negative is I would have liked a changing area in one of the marquees just so I could have sat down and changed into so dry clothes in comfort.
I would also comment on the excellent medical staff on hand, and the well run baggage tent.
Great race guys and thanks for an excellent weekend.

In short: Brilliantly Hard
In full: At the end of the race there was this fantastic table full of wonderful home made cakes. The problem was I was so knackered I struggled to only manage 1 piece. My taget for next year is to PB with 2 pieces of cake!
This is a great event and the feeling of completing it is equal to the feeling I get when I run down The Mall. Well done and thanks to all the organisers.

In short: This ain't no run in the park !!!
In full: A really tough challenging race in a fantastic park. The organisers and marshals are first class. My only problem is that I cant remember many of the down hill bits but the uphills are vividly engraved on my memory. A new course this year which made a nice change and personnally I enjoyed more.

In short: Excellent Marshals
In full: What a shame about the weather! A big thanks those to the organisers and the marshals. There were plenty, and always willing to share a joke and give some encouragement.
It was a shame that we only appeared to have access to some of the showers, and that the tea and coffee stand had shut by the time I hoppled over from the finish. I'll have to go back because on a nicer day a good time is definately a possibility.
Thanks for an excellent event.
