In short: Best. Run. Ever. In full: just got back, I've done this four times now, and it gets better and better each year. Had sunshine and clear skies for the first time, but still had all the magic of previous years.... Organisation very slick, very good support and marshals.... Date of review: November 13, 2011

In short: everyone should do this at least once... In full: third time and the hardest one this time, but my fault for taking it for granted.... you have so much fun, but I kind of forgot how physically demanding this also is....
your body moves 9 miles, but your feet do about 18 (slipping backwards sideways etc etc !)
brilliant organisation, bag drop off/collection perfect, nice warm up beforehand again, etc etc Date of review: November 15, 2010

In short: course very similar - much muddier In full: was a little concerned with the route change but it was still very close to last years, just much of it the other was around... the river/stream was missed, but replaced with much more mud... not many races where i think they could do with a few more hosepipes at the end !!!!!! In short: second time doing this one, great race, loads of marshals and water on a 10k ! In full: this is a great race for people starting, i did it last yeat as only my second ever race. After quite a few more races, you realise how spoiled you are by the Angels... loads of signage, k markers, loads of supportive marshalls and water at 5k (I really needed that this year) - well done (again) Angels

In short: nice woodland run... my only slight issue is the hill In full: this is a great race, for only something like £5 its once of my best races of the year so far... water station to give you two passes at about 1/3 and 2/3 distance, just right.
Just the right number of marshalls in the right places and a lovely woodland surface to run on...
the only slight problem I had was the hill... Strangely enough going up was hard but expected, but coming down a little scary... a few expletives were muttered as my delicate litte ankles and knees were smashed down onto the rocks and the like...
but saying that, £5 for two water stations (well, one twice), soft running surface, and sufficient marshalling.... brilliant
thanks again to Stroud for putting on another superb race Date of review: August 13, 2006

In short: lovely scenery, good support, very little traffic, nice race overall In full: 3 laps round with one downhill and a couple of phases of uphill per lap, weather was warmish which took a bit of a toll at 5ml+ without water, but nice race overall, in the bookmark for next year - pub loooked lovely, but I had to leave early, but i'm sure I'll have a drink there next year,
well done SADAC on another nice well organised race... Date of review: May 4, 2006

In short: beautiful setting and nice run, although organisers miss the odd trick In full: was weary about this one, as many people spoke of "the hill" and lack of water, problems getting to start etc. To be honest, all of this is pretty much par for the course, if you know about it beforehand. Firstly, toilets are a bit of a problem, queue of about 10 just to the door (and that was just the gents) - but loads of trees/undergrowth at the start ;-) . Car Park is about 15 minutes walk from the start, so get there a little earlier than you normally would. Yep, no water apart from at the end, but much of the course is shaded, so if you need fluids for 10k, run with your own. The hill is nothing terrible, but yes it does take it out of you, but I would hate to see all 10k's flat runs. Go again, yep - it's not too far away (Cirecester is about 20 mins from Glos/Cheltenham, and 20 mins from M4), Scenery is lovely. Hill a git, but lets you know you've had a run... In short: nice route, well organised, weather just about right , pretty fast field though In full: was dreading the race if it was up to the beacon, thankfully it wasn't.Pretty flat in the end (odd hill over the motorway. Marshalls were excellent, and every k signage helped. For only my second race, i enjoyed this one again, but there were not many behind me, and I did a sub 50 time (first 10k)...
Well done Angels, nice race and will do again... Date of review: September 11, 2005
