In short: An outstanding marathon.
In full: I have run this every year, and the whole event continues to be my favourite race every year. The organisation is excellent, helpful and efficient. The race starts on time (helped by having sufficient toilets!), mile markers are all spot-on, the drinks stations are just where they should be etc. etc.

The marshals are all enthusiastic and clear in their instructions and encouragement.

The course is just challenging enough to make it interesting, and definitely not flat, i'm normally only a couple of minutes off my PB here.

I would totally recommend this marathon to anyone - whatever their standard.

The UK needs more low-key marathons like this.

In short: Interesting course. Perfect organization. Superbly marshalled, frquent drinks stations, mileage markers all spot on .
In full: This undulating event is a credit to its organizers.

The start was on-time, drinks stations exactly at 5km intervals wth small water bottles as well as cups & jelly babies from time-to-time.

No stressful moments or chances to get lost as all turns were either marshalled or well indicated. All mileage markers appeared to be spot-on, furthermore, 5km markers also in place.

Traffic was well avoided by an early start and imaginative course run mostly on winding country lanes. Live music at the finish, no queue for toilets.

In fact, this had all the ingredients for a thoroughly enjoyable race, and would rank alongside the best I have seen including those run in other countries.

Top marks to Gillingham Trotters!

In short: Well organised, challenging but rewarding
In full: Yet another well organized Clarendon (third in a row for me). Of the four Marathons I have completed this Autumn, this event stood head and shoulders above the rest both in terms of runner challenge, atmosphere and organization. The start and finish locations are superb with efficient finish-start transport arrangements and supportive marshals.
