In short: Great crowd support, flat course - good day out In full: Fantastic crowds to spur you on, but not the fast time anticipated due to slow start weaving in and out of other runners. The pens did have estimated time markers but hard to see due to the crowds and I couldn't even get into a pen until gun went off! No problems dropping baggage off or picking it up, not too long a wait after the finish either. I guess it took longer for some than others depending on how fast you were. Long wait for park & ride bus but was happy sitting in the sun - glad it wasn't raining! Thanks to all the youngsters on the water stations, they were great. Overall a fun day out in a beautiful city. Date of review: March 17, 2009

In short: Exhausting but exhilerating In full: Hard start along the beach followed by steep climb up to Agglestone Rock. Quite nice stretch over heathland before very taxing run of soft sand (before the beach) and final push along the coast in gale force wind and torrential rain. Where were the Jelly Babies when you need them? Great run, would recommend this to anyone who wants a change from road running. Date of review: October 28, 2007
