In short: Undulating; but not too bad
In full: not much to add that others haven't. hills in the first half are long rather than steep. like the bright yellow mug that was given as a prize!

In short: The race itself is fine...
In full: The race itself is fine. Lovely course through the countryside. A couple of sharp inclines, but compensated for by lots of good downhill stretches too and lots of fast + flat stretches too.

The rest seemed a little disorganized. Not enough room in the HQ hall, as there were so many people queuing for chips. The bag drop was totally disorganized. £20 late entry fee i felt was very steep.

In short: fast, flat, 3 laps
In full: not much to say that others probably already havent said - quick course, 3 laps ... there's a smallish incline near the start of the first lap and after climbing that you feel you are running downhill for some big chunks of the lap.

In short: Not bad - I would do this again.
In full: Having read last year's reviews re. the start and finish I was a little apprehensive, but in the end things were fine. I think it would still be a good idea to try and encourage some kind of line-up order based on expected finish times (the announcer was talking to someone in the first few rows who was aiming for 1:50).

The course itself, although pretty dull (winding its way through endless residential suburbia, often down narrow paths and with sharp twists and turns) is actually probably reasonably flat and fast. I noticed a couple of undulations, but nothing particularly challenging. I liked the t-shirt too.

In short: Agree with the rave reviews...
In full: I did it last year, and found it less of an ordeal this time around. If you treat it with respect, it doesn't have to be torture! It's a brilliant feeling to see the km markers counting down, esp in the last 10km! Will definitely hope to do it again nxt year.

In short: tough race, made tougher by the bright bright sunshine!
In full: the course goes through some very beautiful countryside, and even though you are in the middle of rural nowhere there seemed to be loads of cheerful spectators on the course.

the route is very undulating. in this area, i have also done the dover HM, which is also advertised as undulating, but i would say that this is significantly tougher course. there is a particulatly steep hill at about 10M (then it is thankfully more or less flat for the rest of the way home), but throughout the route there are lots of sapping inclines.

one gripe: the web presence is very confusing - there is a canterbury HM site, and a 2:09 events site ... the 'official' canterbury site has no link to the race photos, and for a while had no link to the race results either. anyway to synchronize/align the sites??

In short: tough course amongst beautiful scenery
In full: knole park is a really beautiful setting for this race, espcially as it always seems to be glorious weather for it (glorious for spectators, anyway...different story if you're having to slog away in the heat!)

the off-road, undulating nature of the course makes this quite a tough race.
