In short: Well organised race, with some tough hills, and flapjack at the finish!!
In full: Grey clouds gathered first thing, but sure enough as the race started, the sun came out and stayed out, and it got hotter and hotter. Was praying for a shower from about 3k onwards, and was very tempted to roll through the ford crossing (very refreshing for the feet). The vest was quite nice (although not tech) and the flapjacks looked yummy....saved mine for with a nice cup of tea later. I'll be back, coz i'm a sucker for punishment!! ;0)

In short: Quality t-shirt, chip timing, easy parking - Potential for PB if not so hot!!
In full: Again another glorious summer day for this race, great for spectators, but bit too warm for running!! A whole bottle of water at about half way was most welcome, along with a quality technical t-shirt (VLM why could't you do that!!) Encouraging Marshalls. Well organised number/chip collection. Happy days!!

In short: ANOTHER warm one!!!!!
In full: One of these years we'll get a cool day, and then this race has real PB potential, as mainly flat (with a few inclines). this was the third time i've ran it, and again very well organised. (loved the chocolate milkshake in the goody bag too!!)

In short: Even the heat gets to Superheros
In full: Myself and a few others ran this in fancy dress to help raise extra money. We were given so much support and cheers all the way round by spectators and marshals alike, that it really did make my day. this is the 3rd time ive run the 10k and its aways been a warm (if not scortching hot) day, which makes for a great race atmosphere. One of my favourite races.

In short: August race is 5 mile (not 5k which is earlier in the year)
In full: My club WRR organise this race, so you might think i'm bias, but seriously, it was a brilliant race and i loved every minute of it.

Well organised, great route, and chocolate in the goodie bag!!!

Although i think us ladies need more that 2 toilets!! Where were the portaloos that we had 2 years ago.

We ended up commandiering the gents loo in the end!!!

Chip timing was a great idea, but i understand there was some confusion over actual finish times.

See you next year.

In short: Great atmosphere, great race, but too hot (again)
In full: Despite the heat, i really enjoyed the race. shame they can't start at 10 though. Another water station on the course would have been good, as hot weather had been predicted all week.
Sports bag for all finishers a nice touch, and so much more usefull than a medal.
Nice day out for spectators too.

In short: Nice Course shame about the weather
In full: No PB but 2nd best 10k time for me so no problems there.
Hills were a bit of a challange, and the finish wasn't well signed, so no idea as to when to put in the final sprint!!! Unfortunatley i thing 9km marker was missing.
Finish was tucked away, and my spectating husband almost couldn't find it.
Worst bit for us was getting out of the car park at the end, complete free for all, and took 20 mins just to get onto the tarmac. Gridlocked!!

Also chip timing is great, but it does alow people to be late and still race a good personal time. If you're going to have rules about late arrivals, stick to them. Not fair on those who arrived by 9.00am.

I was overtaken by hoards of faster runners who had obviously turned up late.

In short: The best race i've attended
In full: Almost faultless.
Organisation was brilliant, bag storage worked very well.
Some have commented about the start, but if you arrive early, not a problem. (we were parked by 9.05)
Plenty of loos.
Brass band was a nice touch too.
Would have been nice to have bottles of water at the finish rather than cups.

In short: Where's the momento???
In full: Windy and muddy in places, but can't do much about that.
Chip timing worked well, but timing mat at start too would have helped.
Disappointed not to get any momento, especially as i missed out on PB too.
