In short: Has to be done- a 20 miler with 5 weeks to go but this race makes it bearable
In full: The race itself was brilliant- I like the 4 lap format as its good for pacing. Water and marshalls generally good- couple of ups and downs: to the marshalls who took a shine to my car when I was parking and then made me smile every time I passed them by commenting on it... and then topped it off my handing me my lost key (because they knew I was the Jaguar driver) a million thanks- you rescued me from untold grief from 'im indoors. To the lady on Mile 4- as everyone says- you played a blinder and next time I marshall a race I will remember you. The jelly babies were very welcome and the "caution" sign made me smile. There was a point where one marshall was alone (I think it was just before the turn for the 1 mile marker) and so he didn't or couldn't control the traffic and that would have been welcome as some of the cars were travelling a little too fast; otherwise... a great day out, and for me, made greater still by a stonking PB! Thanks all...

In short: my third time, and my local race so of course, it has to be done
In full: This year the start time was bought forwrad after complaints that a 3pm start in July was unbearable (it was!). Ironically though, today was still probably one of the hottest days of the year, so going up and down the hills of Bushey was no easy feat. As ever though, great atmosphere, great value- loads of prizes- and a spectator friendly course.

In short: this was a great way to end the year-the sight of hundreds of Santas running through the park was funny and mad at the same time. The sun was out, the sky was blue and all in all a great thing to do

In short: another hot one, and the hills do not make for a PB, but starts and finishes in a lovely park with lots of space for an after-run picnic. Plenty of water stops and loads of friendly marshalls.

In short: oh my goodness-those hills! Could not believe at the end of it that somehow in 7 weeks I wil be doing double that distance. Lovely morning out though, bright sunny day (if a bit cold) and pretty scenery. Needed to sit down a lot when I got in though!
