In short: Excellent Race! In full: Excellent organisation from start to finish. The venue was also better this year and very spectator friendly. The course isn't the easiest, with the first few miles off road and then quite a long slog on the road to a very welcome downhill finish. The scenery more than makes up for this however, with fantastic views down to Loe Bar. A very friendly atmosphere aswell. Date of review: March 26, 2013

In short: If Carlsberg did trail races, this would probably be it!! In full: Think of a tick list for the perfect trail race - Glorious location on Studland Beach, mud, soft sand, water, sandy trails, hard packed trails, wonderful scenery all the way, not too long in distance, but long enough, great organisation and marshals, plenty of toilets at the start, a dip in sea at the finish and you have the Studland Stampede. Oh and the weather wasn't bad either! Sunshine all the way! Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: Lovely friendly race In full: On any other day, this course has got PB potential. Pretty much flat with a couple of not too testing hills. But it was, as usual when I race, extremely warm and humid. Putting the weather aside though, this race is a little gem. The organisation was spot on, with lots of marshals around the course. Water stations were plentiful, which were much needed on a very hot day and the medal at the end paid homage to the Olympics, which was a nice touch. Date of review: August 6, 2012

In short: Moor Fun In full: A beautiful 6ish miles across the moors. A challenging course, but very doable. We had a bit of downpour just after the start and the course got muddy, but this was to be expected given the setting. As ever, the course was excellently marked, with no chance of straying off. The marshals were once again in good voice and very encouraging. See you next year. Date of review: July 31, 2012

In short: Wonderful weather for a wonderful race! In full: This race starts and finishes at Trevornick Holiday Park, Holywell Bay and heads out to Cubert Common, taking in coast paths, surrounding trails and even a stretch of beach.
I set out with much trepidation, having listened to various runners' stories about the course, i.e it's hilly, it's mega tough etc. However, it was the perfect day for a race like this - sunny, but not baking hot.
The organisation at the start was spot on and ran like clockwork. The race itself was very tough if you're a "back of the pack" runner like me, with quad sapping steep hills but what a feeling of achievement when I had finished! When you cross that finish line you instantly forget all the pain.
There were marshals everywhere on the course, giving much needed encouragement all the way round.
This is trail running as it should be! Everyone should run it at least once!

In short: Very friendly and well organised race. In full: This was my first Tavy 13 but, having run many Tavy 7's, I wasn't worried about the organisation or facilities. From start to finish, it's a very well run and professionally organised race. The course itself is quite challenging with one major hill and lots of other undulations along the way. The scenery is great however, and there are always lots of friendly runners to talk to when the going gets tough. The marshals were encourageing and the PA announcer makes it feel like a big city race at the end. There were even plenty of small ladies T shirts left when I did eventually finish - it was a very, very hot day!! Date of review: April 18, 2011

In short: Hotter than exprected! In full: That's the last time I take notice of the weather forecast! Really felt the heat today in what was, once again, a very enjoyable and excellently organsied race. The hill just before halfway never gets any easier though and because I was terribly overdressed for the occasion, I found it even more challenging. Thank goodness everyone is so friendly and encouraging. Hope to be back next year to try again. Date of review: March 20, 2011

In short: FUN, FUN, FUN!! In full: I always look forward to this race at the end of the year. This year the sand seemed wetter than usual and it made the going difficult, but that all added to the challenge. Icy roads in the village lanes also proved tricky, but everyone took it in good spirits. The organisation, as usual, was excellent. This was the fastest I have run this race, so I'm chuffed!! In short: PB Here We Come!! In full: I looked this race up on RW Events when visiting family in the area and, on the strength on the glowing reviews, decided to give it a go. The race is very easy to get to with plenty of parking. Organisation is excellent and there are lots of enthusiastic marshals on the course. The course itself ranges from very sticky, muddy grass playing field to rock hard trail, so it's difficult to know what shoes to wear. I wore trail shoes, but with hindsight, road shoes would probably have been better. Nice T Shirt at the end for all our effort.
All in all, a very enjoyable race. Date of review: November 9, 2010

In short: Really enjoyable race. In full: This race really surprised me. I thought it would be full of hard core trail runners, but there was a nice mix of abilities. The marshalls were excellent and very encouraging, the moorland scenery was fantastic and although it was challenging in places, it was very enjoyable - highly recommended.
