In short: Fantastic as ever
In full: Love this event every year, headwind can be a killer in the last 2 miles. But by far the Bands spread around the route give you the motivation to carry on.

In short: Very Disappointing
In full: This being the 4th knacker Cracker i have done, i found the new format (ie mass start) very underwelming. It was quite lonely near the back with no atmosphere at all (quite unlike the 3 previous years).
But the worst bit is to finish, and be told we have run out of medals and 't' shirts..... quite unbelievable! And the people behind me would not even have got a mug. (thats an expensive 10k with only a mug to show for it)
At the finish everyone had gone as well so no great atmosphere here either.
That aside the marshals were as great as usual and the costumes(that i could see) must have given the walkers a few shocks.
I have left not knowing if i want to do it next year!

In short: Its no easier the 2nd time
In full: The best race i do all year, the organisation, the marshalls, the sweets are all fantastic. The amount of fancy dress was amazing. Excellent medal, long sleeve top and mug. The hills are buggers, especially the steps on the last.

Go on you know you want to!!!!!!

In short: Tough, Tough, Tough, .....Oh did i mention it was tough!
In full: Dont be put off by the tough heading, its a good test of your fitness levels(of which mine wasn't good enough). Route marking was one of the best i have ever seen, and the marshalls were excellent as was the organisation. I will be back next year to beat this years time........

In short: Great race as usual.
In full: Had a great race myself, did a PB by 2 minutes. 3rd time of doing Reading and the Finish is the best of all. Running into the statium with the crowd cheering is Fantastic.

I know some people had some gripes, but for me the organisation was impecable.

Will be back next year.

In short: Bloody hills.....3 big buggers
In full: Very Challenging, but rewarding........except no medal (poss due to running out, which is inexcusable if thats the case).

Field was very spread out, but i guess the main field was made up of league runners, so this is to be expected.

Overall not the worst race i have done, but on the otherhand its a mile away from being the best.

In short: Bloody Hell !!!!!
In full: This was my first AR, after doing many road races. It showed i needed alot more training on the bike (my backside can vouch for that fact).

Excellent organisation, friendly competitors, in fact what a fantastic day i had.

I will be doing some cycling to train some and not let my score down next time.

Its hard, especially this time of year......bit damp underfoot i should say (as i left my trainer in the mud within the first 5 minutes).

I would say that anyone thinking of having a go...........its worth it, and its a very enjoyable, but challenging day.

In short: Bloody hell that was hard..................but boy was it a laugh !!!!!
In full: Hardest run i have ever done, i thought running downhill was gonna be easy......WRONG !

Everyone to do with the race was excellent, great support by the marshalls standing there in the cold. Nice touch was the sweets at the drinks stations. And the amount of fancy dress was amazing. Hats off to Borat.

Never before have i been in a race where the quicker runners give you support all the way round.

Mug and medal was really good (long sleeve top was a nice touch, but like other races only have mediums left for us slower runners.......can you order more large's next time please.....better too big than too small).

Will be back next year fitter and knowing what to expect.
