In short: The organisation was so perfect I didn't notice it.
In full: Great organisation, bag drop off in NIA brilliant, great course - fast & mainly flat with a little tease at the end. Plenty of water, great support and suitable for everyone from Haille to my Mum, who finished only 1hr27 behind the great man. Outstanding race.

In short: Fantastic race!
In full: Everything ran well, particularly good points were; bag drop off collection in NIA, great course, friendly atmosphere from runners and crowds, outstanding support at the finish and plenty of options for post race celebrations in Brindley Place/Broad street. Well done Birmingham - you did us proud!

In short: Perfect place to finish a race
In full: Very relaxed atmosphere throughout. The time trial type start meant that you can get into you pace straight away but the lack of grouping did mean you had to work that pace yourself for the whole race. The speed is slowed somewhat by the surface and the bridges but for those of us who train along the canals, we know how to take them in our stride. Finishing at Brindley place is perfect for a couple of cooling beverages with your club mates.

In short: Challenging, scenic course with slick organisation
In full: This is not a course for a high tempo PB, the course undulates the whole way with a few longer, steeper climbs. It is a very friendly and well organised with plenty of opportunity for chatting to runners doing back to back marathons and even 10 in 10 days. If this is not enough to inspire you the views though woodland, fells and lakeland can lift any spirits. The organisation was spot on, I was very impressed to have my time and placing texted to me by the time I got my phone out of my bag. I can't think how to solve the problem of getting out of the car park so just resigned myself to the hour it took - it didn't take the edge off a grand day out for me.

In short: A great race
In full: Wide, traffic free roads, mildly challenging course, great crowds, great marshals and a really, really good finishing straight. A really enjoyable run all round.

In short: Up, down, over, under, through & around - its got 'em all!
In full: Well organised, scenic race giving a great workout. Compensated for being 3 miles shorter than last year by throwing in a few extra hills. Fantastic morning out!

In short: Unobtrusively well organised
In full: Yet again a highlight in the running calender. A mildly challenging course that tests strength as well as speed, so well organised that it felt like pulling on my shoes and going out for a run. Well done all at DK for another triumph, see you next year - if you could arrange the same weather that would be great too!

In short: The spectators alone make this a special race
In full: A fast, flat course with absolutely tremendous support made this a fantastic race, the adrenalin was pumping from start to finish and the crowd kept pushing us on. The marshals and drinks station staff were great as well. So with a great run, great runners and great support it is up to the organisers to make this event everything it could be. This year they seemed to have failed to rise to that challenge, again, but I for one am willing to give them one more try.......

In short: Challenging conditions, excellent marshalls.
In full: The wind, cold and rain made this a challenging course but the smiling and encouraging faces of the excellent marshals more than made up for it. Even finishing towards the end there did not seem to be any fall off in spirit. Well done to my mum who I badgered round the last 3 miles for a new PB of 2:20:16 and well done to all the Bedford Harriers on this great event.

In short: Fast & fun
In full: Two laps in Canon Hill park, an extra out and back section from last year and change to a more difficult bridge and a narrow section which was tricky on the first lap, made it a slightly less appealing course. Easy parking and, how often do you hear this, more than enough toilets, slick bag storage and in the main good marshalling easily made up for any down sides.
