In short: A great day out. Beware of the hill!
In full: This race seems to be blessed with good weather and this year was perfect again. There are other events and entertainments in a great location so it is a good family day out. Definately recommended.

In short: Great weather, great scenery, very friendly and well organised.
In full: Did this event last year but the weather made it even better this year. No spectators for much of the route but where there was it was great. Can't imagine a marathon with better scenery, even the bus ride to the start was lovely. As last year, the organisation was spot on and the marshalls and volunteers were friendly, efficient and helpful. Big thanks to everyone for a fantastic event.

In short: Great race and a great family day out.
In full: A great mix of events and stalls made it a great family day out. The addition of a 5K was a good think. 10k is flat, steep hill then a long easy downhill section and a fantastic finish past the castle.

In short: Great organisation. Very wet. Scenic.
In full: Organisation, down to small details, was the best I have experienced. The course was undulating but the last 6 miles is downhill then flat. I found it easier than Edinburgh. Not much support along the route although a few diehards did come out in the rain which was very welcome especially in the more remote parts of the route. Marshalls were great - standing in the rain. Plenty of water and sports drinks.

In short: Good organisation. Steep hill! Great family day out.
In full: Good weather certainly helped - quite a different prospect in the rain! Loads to see and do and the children's events are a great idea.
