In short: A thoroughly enjoyable 5 mile run, in the countryside, for a Saturday afternoon.
In full: This was my first time at this event, having not raced for a while. It was a very enjoyable run and a very pleasant course. It was fairly flat, around country lanes, with some nice views of the surrounding countryside. There is also a fete at the school with stalls and refreshments making it a very enjoyable afternoon out for all the family. It was well organised and very reasonably priced, with a good quality t-shirt at the finish.
Overall, a very enjoyable run and afternoon out with friends who pursuaded me to run this race. I am wondering why I have never done this event before, but would definately run it again.

In short: This is a challenging cross-country run with lots of mud, streams and steep inclines to add to the challenge! Enjoyable and well worth it for the views, but extremely muddy! Very well organised, friendly and well marshalled.
In full: This is a great run over farmland, fields, tracks and hills, but the views at the top are well worth it! Extremely tough on the legs due to the amount of mud, and windy at the top of the hills. Very well marshalled and a goodie bag at the finish with a T-shirt, Mars bar and energy gel - certainly well earned! I'd also like to thank the marshalls who were all so friendly and supporting, but also the kind man who helped pull me out of the mud right at the beginning when I fell in it! Not for the faint hearted, or to go for a PB time!

In short: An undulating course, good scenery and very well organised.
In full: This would be a tough PB race, as there are quite a lot of hills, but good scenery and very well organised. T-shirt, medal and Mars bar at the finish. Lots of entertainment, so a good family event, lots of spectators and support around the route, very well marshalled with plenty of water along the route and adequate toilets.

In short: It's certainly a challenge due to the hills, but well worth it for the fantastic scenery!
In full: This is a very friendly and very well organised race. The marshalls were excellent, a t-shirt and a banana at the end make it worth the effort! This was my third time running and managed a PB, despite it being a particularly tough and challenging route.

In short: A challenging course, but very picturesque.
In full: First time running this, and really enjoyed it - especially managing a PB! Although it was hilly, it was on quiet country lanes and the wonderful scenery made up for it.

In short: Very well organised half marathon and better route than previous years.
In full: This is my 3rd time running this half marathon and definately my best! Completed it in PB time and the course changes were a definate improvement, particularly the last few miles. Superb organisation and plenty of water and lucozade available both throughout the course and at the finish. Running into the stadium at the finish is amazing, it makes it all worthwhile! Good atmosphere, fantastic support and a great goodie bag and medal makes this a race I will do again! :-)
