In short: Great support for 26 miles
In full: I mostly do small out of town marathons so lining up for the big one was quite daunting. The support was like a wall of noise for 26 miles and it was really amazing. Organisation was faultless and the hundreds of volunteers and the full time team did a fantastic job.

In short: My first DNF.
In full: I pulled up with cramp and a possible muscle tear at near 16 miles. A big thank you to the spectators and marshalls who looked after me and got me back to the finish. Nice to know your all there.

Will come back next year and finish the job.

In short: A windy day and in the wrong direction
In full: As ever well organised, must have been a million portaloos at the start. Not sure about the strange journey down the lane at 18 miles, presume it was to lessen the time spent going round the lake.

In short: A very good race, enjoyed it all.
In full: 3rd time here and sadly as I now have my Good For Age will be doing London next year. Will miss the country lanes, etc.

Organisation very good this year with more water stations. Toilets at start a good addition as well.

In short: Another briliant half.
In full: It would be wrong to consider any criticism for a race where a passing marshal gave me a lift from Bedford to the start. The course was as lovely as ever with a stunning sunrise to greet us early arrivals.
The indoors gathering area meant we stayed warm until the absolute last minute and nice to have showers and tea at the end.

In short: Nice to have starting pens this year.
In full: As always very well organised from start to finish with good water stations, plenty of marshalls and a well ran finish. Some of the paths are getting a bit bumpy though, especially round by the 5 mile mark (the council may want to do some repairs).

In short: Boy was it hot!
In full: What a smart technical Tee!
It almost made the sunburn worthwhile. Possibly the most scenic finish to a Surrey run and I can hardly blame them for the non-existent train service to Dorking which meant 2 hours by replacement bus.
Well done to all concerned.

In short: Another well organised running on a very lovely rural course.
In full: Surprised at how good the turnout was and very good conditions. Organisation excelent as usual and the commemorative hoodie is fantastic.

In short: My first visit to Watford and had a good run out.
In full: A frequently testing and interesting course which positively flew by. Once the sideroads where cleared after 3 miles we went into the countryside and the climb up to 6 miles. Then the mad dash back to the finish!

In short: Another fine day out curtesy of Bedford Harriers.
In full: As ever a well organised race around an attractive rural setting with few cars, fewer spectators and a hardy bumch of marshalls. Only one gripe being the rugby shirt momento, a bit too purple for me.
