In short: Disappointing course. In full: As I was on holiday from the Fens I was expecting a scenic route. Unfortunately this did not materialise which was disappointing and we had to go round twice, which included the 'big' hill - hard for someone from the flatlands! Nice momento though. In short: Mix of surfaces made it interesting. In full: The course started and finished on grass but included roads and hardcore surfaces. A few ups-and-downs but quite plesant. Date of review: August 3, 2007

In short: Better course this year, more support. Well done. In full: The revised course was better than last year's, and going out along the river was a challenge (into a stiff breeze). The event had grown as well with more stalls etc and a better atmosphere. Well done everyone involved. Date of review: May 11, 2007

In short: Apart from the start and a slope nearing the end, it is a flat face course. Good for beginners. In full: Second year I've run this and the organisation was as good as ever. The Scottish piper gave everyone a boost at the start and encouragement from the top of the slope near the end. You could hear him a good half-mile away across the fen. Nice touch! In short: Hot weather made it tough-ish for a beginner like me. In full: The hot weather made this a bit of a gruelling race for beginners like me. The long slow slope after 2K on the way out didn't help either. Lots of hot red faces at the end. Nice medal though. Date of review: July 26, 2006
