In short: A decent local 10K with full road closures. In full: Entered because it was only a 15 min drive away and thought 8am start would seriously affect the turnout but was actually quite a big race with the emphasis probably more towards the beginner rather than the club runner. A few early hills that tested the heart and legs first thing on a Sunday morning but after that fairly flat or down hill and closed roads including dual carriageways were a real bonus. Organisation was first rate (except for prominence of Km markers)and location ideal with loads of parking etc. My Garmin also clocked at 10.1Km but hey means we got more for our money! Would do again and may pop along to the 4Km time trials that they do here at 8am every Sat morning. Date of review: August 12, 2007

In short: Great for the longest run before the Marathon. In full: A pretty bleak start on a grey misty morning when the clocks had gone forward! But it only got better and a turned into a well organised race through pleasant country lanes on a not too testing route. If you have to go out and run 21 miles before the marathon, I can't think of a better way of doing it than in the company of a few like minded souls. Date of review: March 26, 2007

In short: An excellent start of year race for Spring Marathoners starting to get there long runs into double digits. In full: Very well organised with cheerful and professional marshalls. Pretty chilly in the cold wind at the start but turned into a very pleasant run in the sun mostly on rural roads. First class race venue at the new Princes (Dartford Town) football stadium. Oh - and a nice T-shirt too... Date of review: January 21, 2007
