In short: lessons learnt from last year
In full: All the negatives from last year resolved, the city centre start/finish much better, far more pleasant route, and well planned post race organisation. The only slight down was the apparent lack of toilets at the baggage drop off/beginning of the race. This now has potential for growing into a formidable annual event, I will definitely be back next year

In short: A few teething problems, but not too surprising with such a large entry
In full: A bit of a strange course, not sure how they had come up with all the twists and turns through Edgbaston, but once you had done the U-turn on the Hagley road, it was a fantastic finish. The earlier overpasses and underpasses though not killers were quite testing.

As a brummie I felt the route could have shown off some of the more pleasant parts of Birmingham...we do have some parks!

Organisation seemed to be quite good, though I had no idea why the start of the race was delayed, baggage transfer was efficient and the enthusiastic marshalls a big plus. Thought the finish area was a bit chaotic, but nothing drastic, and there was an enormous queue for the shuttle buses. For the price of the race the goody bag a bit sparse, but definitely 1 of the shiniest medals I've had.

Overall a promising start and looking forward to the second one!

In short: Beginning was hillier than I'd expected, but a much better route than last year. Good to see there is some green around Coventry. Very well organised, improved on last year's good organisation.

In short: Very well marshalled, with good enthusiastic support from the locals. A few long inclines rather than any wicked hills. Was my second time for this race, and plan to return next year.
