In short: My First 10k Ever!!
In full: Local event and my first 10k ever. It was an enjoyable experience and I will be back again next year to try and improve my time.

The first 6k is all uphill, albeit a slight incline but it def sorts out the men from the boys!

The start and finish route could be improved on as it is down a narrow disused country lane, dog mess and mud, hopefully it will be better next year.

In short: Great day out!
In full: This was my second 10k and should have been a PB as the course was so flat it is unbelievable. The heat 26 degrees, was a killer!!

The only thing the organisers could not have planned for was the heat, everything else went like clockwork, I cannot wait for next year.

In short: Great Beginners Race
In full: I am still a beginner, this being my 3rd 10k since starting running approx 4 months ago.

I managed to achieve a PB but would have completed the course 30 - 60 secoonds quicker if it had not been for the bottle neck at the start.

At the finish there was an over zealous official that started shouting to the competitiors to hurry up and just take a t-shirt, never mind the size. This was disappointing but luckily this did not spoil my enjoyment of the race, but it is not the type of behaviour you would expect from an official at a large race like the River Ness 10k.

The final downpoint was the shuttle bus to pick up your car from the start point. I had to wait 20 minutes plus for the bus and then it took approx 30 minutes to get back to the start, there must be a better way of arranging this.

Apart from that I did enjoy the race, great atmosphere and the scenery was fantastic, I will def be going back next year, here's hoping for another PB and a bit better organisation.
