In short: Challenging and scenic but very well organised and friendly. Excellent!
In full: Challenging course redefined undulating somewhat, but the lovely sunny morning made it a gorgeous scenic run. Extremely well organised and friendly with plenty of water stations. I actually liked the coaster, a novel idea, much better and more useful than a medal and I have enough race T shirts.

In short: Well organised, enthusiastically marshalled and supported all the way round.
In full: Nice to start and finish at the running track with the grandstand full and cheering.
The looping course enabled our supporters to see us at several places, as well as at start and finish.
Local support, marshalls and police all round the course was brilliant. As was the companionship and friendliness of the runners.
Water and sponge stations spaced just right.
An excellent place for my first marathon and the weather, despite grim forecasts, was perfect as well.
Well done Abingdon Amblers

In short: Lovely scenic run, round lakes and through forests
In full: A long initial climb out of the town but once into the woods, along road and track, it was excellent. A glorious sunny sunday morning, good organisation and friendly people made it a great event.

In short: Cold, wet, slippy, muddy and those shingles - well organised and gruelling but brilliant race.
In full: Sunday March 12th 2006: The noise on the beach at the start was deafening (1000s of trainers on shingles, accompanied by huge crashing waves); the bog was amazing - not too be missed; the final run-in along Seaton beach excruciating and the marshalls and crowds were excellent (despite frozen) all around the course. I'll be coming back again next year!

In short: Some tough hills in the first 'half' and a killer at the end which together with the scenery makes it a really challenging but rewarding run. One of those races that you enjoy more as time passes after finishing! I’ll definitely do it again…sometime.
