In short: Surprisingly great for a hilly run through a residential estate
In full: Never run this race before, but felt it about time I did. What a fantastic race, the organisation is superb, as to is the atmosphere, it's a long time that a race has surprised me quite as much as this race did. Whilst packing some heart wrenching hills and on this occasion some decidedly damp weather, mile three thought Noah was on the horizon, my overall verdict, an awesome race which I'll be back next year to keep the racing mojo together.

In short: Race & atmosphere beter than I could've imagined
In full: Hills weren't as daunting as I'd expected. Friendleness of Macc & surrounding folk remains legendary & up to past reputation. Whilst it was my first outing to this half, it's one I'll definetly look to repeat. Nice touch with the water & bannana at the end - goody bag welcome.

In short: Only one to do again if organisers sort shambles of a start
In full: This race has long been a favourite of mine over the years with a good fast & furious start to the season. However over the past couple of year's it's been a victim of it's own success from going from what realistically should be a 500 starter race, to one that's now over 1200! The start was a disaster with no line to mark the start; cars parked on the starter road, which funnelled starters & added to the already hazardous start. Runners seemed to be dropping like flies; saw at least 3 poor folk go down, either pushed from behind or stumbling. 2 runners from our club went down with resulting cuts & bruises and these were some of the faster guys towards the front & in contention. Will need to see some assurances before next year’s race, before I hurry to enter again. An otherwise well organised & flat race with all the potential for a PB, marred by a crazy start.
