In short: Can't fault this race, superb organisation and facilities and very friendly. Well done and thanks to all involved
In full: I enjoy everything about this race - scenery, clockwork organisation, free pre- AND post race massage, friendly, great facilities, cheerful marshalls. Big thank you to all involved in the organisation. See you next year.

In short: Can't imagine why anyone wouldn't ...
In full: Coniston 14 really does have all the benefits of a small friendly local race (including being extraordinarily good value for money) at the same time as being a 'big event' race. Yes it's got hills, but it also has the most amazing scenery, great cafe and pub facilities for supporters (and afterwards, runners), loads of parking, a lovely memento ... and a woman with a tub of vaseline half way round. I'll be back again and again for this one.

In short: 4km up hill was a killer, but well worth it for the views and the sense of achievement
In full: Enjoyed it because it wasn't just a plod round flatish sub/urban streets. The first 4k is an absolute killer, but so bad it's almost fun - and the views from the top reduce the pain. Good finishing on the athletics track. Overall, well organised with pretty good facilities. Pity about having to dodge earlier finishers and walkers in the park towards the end.

In short: Even foul weather couldn't spoil great organisation, great facilities, value for money & friendly atmosphere
In full: Big thank you to everyone involved, particularly the marshalls who managed to stay cheerful and supportive despite 2 hrs standing in foul weather. Given the wind and rain, I was glad of the flat out and back course, made a really tough race a bit easier mentally. Sand on the pavement and wind probably an annual hazard, but don't let this put you off. Chocolate in goody bag, pie and peas at the end and great organisation - no wonder this race sold out. I'll be getting my application in in good time next year.

In short: I can see why it's oversubscibed!
In full: Superb organisation and marshalling, lovely rural course, great pre/ post race facilities (incl free massage), unusual memento - and all for under a tenner. Can't fault it and will definitely be entering early next year to be sure of a place.

In short: Can't think of a better way to spend a sunday morning
In full: Absolutely no downsides to this race, even enough pasties to go round this time. Love the course - no tarmac, no traffic. Modest hill adds to the fun. Marshalling excellent - unbelievably friendly and efficient, organisation great, fantastic value for money. Missed it? Look out for the Gin Pit 5 mile races, you won't regret it.
