In short: Fang-tastic Fun!
In full: One of the only races where when I finished I actually wanted to go round again! Great fun and could not fault any of it. The scarers were great, the course varied and the glowstick lighing and 11pm start added to the spooky feel. certainly worth the trip from Bristol (and thats not just because we won the fancy dress competition!!)

In short: Ruined by hopeless organisation
In full: This was a potentially great race ruined by dire organisation. Due to a complete lack of informed Marshalls at least the front end of the field ended up going the wrong way leading to some people doing up to 1.3k more and in my case and others 1.7k more. It seems they had a similar issue last year so how they could let it happen again is pretty inexcusable! The confusion made for one of the worse post race atmospheres I have even encountered with runners trying to work out how far they had run and what place they should have come. Today the results are up but they have managed to miss recording a lot of runners times, (maybe their tie on numbers fell off when they were trying to stop themselves getting more lost) It was good that none of the WWT swans were around at the end, someone may have throttled one with frustration!

In short: Yes it was longer then stated but they have owned up to it! lets give them a break shall we!
In full: I would be more inclined to be annoyed if they had not owned up to their error, at least now everyone has a reason why their times were not as they thought they should be. I am not going to let this spoil what for me was a lovely race, the scenary is beautiful the support great and for once a T shirt I can actually use! I travelled from Bristol and I would do again.

In short: Mud, Mud Glorious Mud...
In full: One of the best ways to spend a Sunday morning!! The combination of mud, water, mud and more mud makes the 9 and a bit miles fly by. Great organisation and the cheerful spectators, marshalls and competitors make this race a truly uplifting experience. Unless you are alergic to having fun do this race!

In short: Bring a Map and Compass!!
In full: I guess my experience of this race was hugely damaged by the fact that at one of the key points a Marshall who should have been there had popped off somewhere and I ended up running off course for a substantial amount of time and had to retrace my steps (up hill) to get back on track. Now I appreciate events take a lot of organisation and Im thankful that people take time out of their day to be Marshalls - but just from a safety point of view, let alone the effect on my time and placing this should not have been allowed to happen. Other than that it was a good challenging race, it would have been nice if the mist had lifted so you could see what must have been some stunning views but that was something the organisers could not control!!

In short: If you pick one half marathon to run in March - make it this one!
In full: Well done Hogweeds, a great race, in great scenery with great organisation! Ok, it may be hilly, but the encouragement of the marshalls, the atmosphere and the sense of achievement at the end make it well worth the effort!

In short: Thats quite a hill !!!
In full: Fantastic race - selection of hills made for tough ascents and thrilling descents (trouble keeping feet on ground!!) well organised (3 water stations and what seemed like hundreds of marshalls) overjoyed with coming in under 50 mins - If I dont get into London 2007 I will certainly be back next year!

In short: Great Race! Six minutes of my PB so perhaps im a bit biased!!
In full: Fast course, there was talk of a hill at some point but I didnt really notice it!! Good crowd and the choccie at the end was appreciated (especially when I got stuck in the holiday traffic on the way home!!) great PB potential, still cant believe my time!

In short: The wind took your breath away, the hills took your legs away and the the mud cost some their dignity! - But what Fun!!
In full: Great race,I may be struggling with stairs today but im still smiling!! If you like cross country you should love this, buckets of mud, a knee deep river crossing (thigh deep when your only 5'1) and enough hills to keep things interesting. Good organisation and a pretty good medal at the end. Only complaint would be the runners who moaned that the course was too muddy to get a PB - wheres your sense of adventure!! (and humour in some cases!!) Going to be back next year for sure (if my trainers dry in time!!)
