In short: another really weel organised race....tough but brilliant marathon training
In full: The third time on this race and it is still as tough as before.....but I love it.such good mental preperation as well as physical preperation for a marathon..........organised brilliantly and with the best finishers t-shirt as usual.wekl done and thank you to the organisers and marshalls

In short: last year I made the comment that the organisers would have to move up a gear if they wanted to earn the title of Great welsh marathon...........well I'm pleased to announce they did just that.........a brilliant race
In full: I really enjoyed the change of corse this year...the two loops meant i could see allthe other runners on the course a few times and marvel at the speed of the front runners and admire the determination of those bringing up the rear.......a fast course and the weather once again was briliant for spectators if not a bit too hot for us runners.......only minor moan is that the water sation at the industrial end needs sorting....maybe have it just before the estate so that you can access it in both directions would have made the difference....but apart from that a big thank you to the organisers and the marshalls....My husband has already decided to do this next year so If not racing i will be supporting

In short: some good points for a new race
In full: The scenery is good and the twists and turns were great for spectators if made hard work for runners but could have been worse.....the marshalls were a mixed bunch by the time I got around.....on the industrial estate they were lying down chatting.....half of them did not give any words of encouragement although the kids at mile 21 made up for this by being brilliant......enough spectators around to encourage which was nice.....as said the gravelly bit was really hard work and I nearly cried when the announcer at the end said ... and here.......coming in at a few minutes after 4 and a half hours.......I had gone under by over 4 mins according to me and the official results...he did his best to spoil my PB by just not being accurate at all....medal .. waht a laugh.deserves to be in a cracker and definitely one that I would wear with pride all day for people to admire.....also why call it a momanto bag.... posh title when there was no momento in it......were the crisps or the chocolate nar the momento....... anyway all in all I think it was well worth it......the drinks in the sports bottles were spot on and the single most important thing as far as I'm concerened...I hope it goes on to more success.but it seems to have to move up a gear if they want to earn the name great welsh marathon....

In short: new course and still a fast race........
In full: despite the light snow covering overnight the course was mainly clear and the icy parts were well marshalled to give warnings.......excellent marshalls again and plentiful....will be back next year

In short: still one of the best races on the running calender
In full: the weather was brillliant once again......although i was worried at the start when it tried to rain for a minute but the organisers soon sorted that out:)...the course is so varied that there is no time to get bored..It is a great way just to enjoy a run before Christmas......organisation was brilliant again......would recommend this race.......but as it fills up I will keep quiet about it next year until after i have sent off my entry........this is one race that i do not want to miss

In short: a brilliant race which is challenging but the views were marvellous
In full: This is a great introduction for people to running off road but it is still a great challenge for those at the front of the field.....with hills like the beeast to conquer before having to then run up to the trig point at machen mast.this will give you a great sense of achievemnet and some brilliant views............off road is the way forward as no nasty cars or pavements to worry about

In full: I loved it start to finish ........it was muddy but I only got muddy up to my shoulders..........everyone should do this at least once. thanks to all concerned

In short: A quite challenging run which was more undulating than i thought. Very scenic and friendly..well organised.
In full: I really enjoyed this race but I thought it would have been flater... The organisation was brilliant but there was quite a lot of traffic some of whom werte impatient... One caravan hit my hand as it went past too close. I still really enjoyed it and if I'm on holiday the same week next year will probaly do it again.....Thanks to all the marshalls for a great job...

In short: well marshalled scenic race away from main roads, very friendly
In full: the marshalls were brilliant and really encouraging.. the route was challenging especially with the unexpected big hill at 7 1/2 miles, the second half was really hard as it was mainly uphill and against the wind... and for us slow runners the rain anhd then hail came out to show its face and the winsd was cold....... but i loved the race and would recommend it for everyone..Thanks to all concerned...
