In short: Not for PB chasers, but for those who want a great well organised event on a "challenging" course!!

In short: A cheap, no frills, well organised marathon, with excellent PB potential
In full: Re other comments I guess you get what you pay for!? Yes it would be nice to have toilet facilities dotted about the course, gels and energy drinks to hand out, but that would have put the price up. That said it is surprising that a marathon does not have any toilet facilities at all on the course (I could see some runners taking desparate action by the prom wall during the race, which isn't great to see), nor any energy drink at the finish - surely more sensible than water!? Some of the marshals were total miseries (presumably employed by a private company and non runners who portrayed the air of not giving a hoot!!) and I was actually sent around the wrong set of cones (no apology provided!)

In short: The best orgainsed and best value for money race I have ever done
In full: Could not fault it, even though 1st year of the race and the recent bad weather which caused last minute changes to the course. I am sure the quality goody bag contents and the water bottle and bespoke wooden coaster I got at the end were worth more than the race entry!

In full: Surely one of the most challenging and scenic 10K's on the race calendar. Excellent organisation and plenty of friendly support on the course. Very good facilities at the race HQ/by the finish. Love the mug souvenir
