In short: Great race, very friendly and well organised, highly recommended In full: Really well done and thank you to the Rotary clubs for taking on the event for the first time this year, it was really enjoyable and must be a logistical nightmare to organise!
A few minor comments: tea/coffee at the start would be nice, especially if the weather turns out worse than it did; there were a couple of places when reaching junctions with noone in sight in front of me where I had to ask which way to go, it would have been great to have a bit more positive directing for us lonesome runners; and the results/prize giving didn't seem to work out very well considering there was chip timing.. but overall a great job and still one of the best races of the year! In short: One of the must-do events of the year In full: On the way up the Stickle path I always think to myself "why am I doing this again?" - by the end I've always got a smile on my face :)
As always the marshalling and organisation was superb, it's amazing how friendly people can be when they're standing in drizzle!
Nice t-shirt too :) Thanks for a great race, see you next year! Date of review: October 28, 2008

In short: Horrendously hilly - but FUN! In full: First time running this one, I hear stories from past years of wading through fields, winds so strong they blow you back up the hill and oodles of glorious mud! Definitely will be back -although next year I might book the following day off work so I can slob out.. I mean.. uh.. recover.. Date of review: October 30, 2006

In short: Well organised, fairly tough, good fun! In full: Around 150 runners, the winners time was just over 36 minutes. A varied figure of 8 course with enough hills to make a pb tricky.. Tropheys came with a locally made lardy cake and a cucumber! Date of review: August 12, 2006
