In short: Nice well organised, friendly race In full: Turnout was low due to the England v Algeria reserves football game. Doing this race instead of watching the England game must rank as one of my best decisions ever. Hope that they run it next year as deserves a bigger field. Date of review: June 21, 2010
In short: Enjoyable day if you dont use the alloted car parks In full: About the sixth or seventh time I have done this now and enjoy the actual race. Marshalling on the course and water stations very good and friendly. Not sure about the stadium though. Was there a T-shirt ? and what's with area's roped off for corporate groups only. Made people unsure what areas were for normal public use. That and the terrible car parking queues, if you got there early and parked at the stadium, mean I might not do this anymore. In short: Good PB potential but Car Park poorly organised In full: No organising at the car park resulted in a lot of cars queing for non-existant spots. Without organisation its difficult to gauge car parking situation as from experience footballers are leaving normally at this time. At the finish I noticed a lot of cars leaving (mostly with runners in) while slower runners were still coming in. This is a combination of bad organisation and the faster runners showing a lack of respect.
Definitely a good course for a PB, although even sub 40 min runners had difficulty near the finish with car park traffic. Date of review: November 20, 2006
In short: very well organised with great marshalls In full: Really well organised race and the marshalls were very encouraging and helpful all along the route. Good conditions for a PB and the T-shirt was very good value. Really enjoyed the race. Date of review: November 13, 2006
In short: perfet conditions for a fast time In full: Surpised to see people still complaining about the finish when it has been explained that there was a medical emergency. Date of review: October 9, 2006
In short: Well marshalled and plenty of water available thank god In full: Marshalls were very helpful and the water stations very well manned. Although its a flat course it felt hilly today in that heat. Could have done with another water station at about mile 10 but then again its difficult to change plans at short notice due to the heat.
Being a nice day had a sit down and let the car park empty before making way home. The new car park had large queues to get in and getting out looked a nightmare. Date of review: June 12, 2006
In short: As mentioned mess up with the trophies. Spot prizes sounded good but were in fact just 1-3 months free membership of gym and meal voucher that had to be used that day, not quite the hundreds of pounds mentioned when given out. In full: Date of review: April 19, 2006
