In short: Great event, great marshalls and organisation In full: Third time I've run this event and just as enjoyable (even if first time after a marathon!). As usual marshalls very good and very encouraging despite the weather from about mile 9. Torrential rain didn't dampen spirits as much as it could have done and there was a decent crowd at the finish encouraging the runners in. Quintiles deserve thanks for their sponsorship - good goodie bag etc, really appreciate both the medal and a t-shirt, great value. Date of review: May 2, 2008

In short: good race, some pinch points for passing In full: Good race as always, well organised. Narrow points along towpath etc limit passing options but runners could help by staying/moving to left if not passing others etc. Friendly marshalls and army cadets - would welcome bottles rather than cups. In short: Small race at familiar location, good flat course but strong winds spoiled otherwise good day. In full: Small race - in terms of numbers - with disappointing goody bag. Cost OK but towards expensive. My first sole duathlon (have taken part in relay team before) so interesting experience. Perhaps nbow over familiar with Dorney Lake which is not an attractive site from scenery point of view and very open nature of site allows for strong winds to spoil return legs on running and cycling laps. That said, weather kind for late November and will certainly do it again. Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: Enjoyable family run (4k) through woodland and heath at rearranged venue In full: Good fun for the family - my 9 year old enjoyed the challenge in his second Loseley run. Great atmosphere and good scenery on what 3ws a glorious November sunday morning. Change of venue worked well with plenty of parking space. Slight grumble re lack of facilities - no toilets, with heavy use of woodland as the only provision. Date of review: November 8, 2007

In short: First time Tri, great fun and one hell of an experience - will be back In full: First time out and suffered from overconfidence in the swim, very testing in the cold choppy water and in a wetsuit. Great day with a longer than expected q to register - organisers say this was v unusual and that repeat event the following day had no problems. Met some great people with plenty of advice - most of which was too late - sorry guys, and my family who braved the cold windy conditions had a great time. Scooterthon a great idea and enjoyed by all competitors. Dorney Lake remains a strange place to hold an event - relatively flat and great pb potential (have run 10k's there before) but despite the boating lake, lacking any real character with landscaping too recent to offer any real scenary etc. Looped run boring. However had a great time and enjoyed the whole experience tremendously. Will be back. Date of review: May 30, 2007

In short: mix of scenery but better than Bracknell's reputation would suggest. Good course particularly now the notorious spike has been taken out Date of review: April 30, 2007

In short: good organisation, mix of scenery, horrid spike at the end. Might do better running route other way. In full: Well organised if limited on the parking front etc. Marshalls excellent - encouraging runners all the way round with good support from local constabulary. Reasonable crowd and special thanks to the Bracknell Rugby boys for enthuisiatic welcome. Reasonable mix of scenery (Bracknell ain't all bad!) thiough as a local suspect that parts, eg. Harvest Ride etc, would be better if run the other way! All-in-all good run with 4 mins knocked off PB though still 2 mins away from breaking 2 hours. Date of review: May 8, 2006

In short: Good location, water stops so-so, car park exit awful In full: My first 1/2 having started running in May so a good introduction on the run itself. Wasn't aware of time boards at start so joined friends at first filter-in point. Great run and pleased withn own time, could have done with bottled water on way round (had to stop to drink) and more bottles at the end (only one small bottle after 13 miles in the heat?!). Car park exit awful with no help from marshalls (those on the race itself were great) and the usual "I've a company car...." idiots q jumping the rest of us. Date of review: September 26, 2005
