In short: 1000 people entered, how many more wanted to run no one knows.
In full: If you like road races then this has to be on everyones list, it has everything besides a flat boring route, dull uninterested marshalls and the expense of a great north run.

In short: with all that rain should have been a wash out, but mosr certainly was not
In full: Just a great way to spend a morning, some great stories of the challenge. The only downside the water station was stolen but the marshalls and nearby catteryy/kennels did wonders to give everyone who wanted a drink.
Will be back next year.

In short: Keep on coming back
In full: Excellent race for anyone who likes a race which is anything but dull, a few hills for interest, great marshalls and a biscuit for the dog in the goodie bag.
Shame on those who did not run it,you missed a great day

In short: Great race, well organised with a big splash to finish.
In full: Althogh I'm not a fast runner I enjoyed this race, excellent views and well marshalled. Bit of a shock at the end but good fun. Wished I could have finished earlier so that I could have watched others do the river crossing.

In short: Excellent value, marshalls very supportive, great hat
In full: Well organised race, with no chance of getting lost. The marshalls were very encouraging. Excellent goodie bag and I love the hat. Congratulations to the organiser.

In short: much better than expected
In full: This one is about pacing and not going fast at the start or the last hill will be hard. But nice compact course, saw friends repeatedly running and cheering, which was nice. On a normal summers evening would be bit drier.

In short: it did not rain as forecast, sunshine and great fells, superb.
In full: After the depressing London marathon scenery, this was brilliant to look up as the hills got worse, and realise you are in a beautiful part of the world.
The hills might be tough up, but the downs are wonderful some of the best descents ever.

In short: Nice change form tarmac halfs.
In full: Enjoyable for the variety, but little tst who is patrols Saltaire suggests better marshalling as you come of the canal, tourists are not that considerate, and there were no warning signs for the stupid.
I can't say there was a good part of the course, I enjoyed it all. The start, Esholt (what a big sewage works), the canal, the hill, the boggy top and the final hill to the finish, all have things to recommend and remember it.

In short: All the way from Stockport for a race, must be mad, but well worth it.
In full: Great course, nice folk, great way to spend new year.
