In short: Really enjoyed my first off-road race
In full: Having done numerous road races, this was really enjoyable, although surprisingly challenging given the wide mix of terrain. It was excellently marshalled and well organised. I'd definitely do it again. Personally I didn't have a problem with the dogs or i-pod wearers.

In short: Excellent organisation and crowd support
In full: An excellently organised event with equally good crowd support.

The route itself isn't particularly spectacular but the crowd support, especially in the town, makes up for this.
It wasn't however as flat as I thought it was going to be.

I would do this again and hopefully prepare for it better next time!

In short: Fantastic day. Superb organisation and crowd support
In full: The organisation and especially the fantastic crowd support made this another memorable day. The blue start was much slower than the red start last year (10 mins 30 for the first mile) although that may have been a blessing for me as I was then able to keep up a very steady pace throughout the race to beat my 4 hour target (3 hrs 56). The area around Cutty Sark was also a lot busier than last year, presumably due to the renovation work. Overall a brilliant day and excellent value for money

In short: A very good event once again
In full: Have completed this race for the last three years and still really enjoy it. Managed to get a course PB which helps! The underfoot conditions on the way to the start were poor but that isn't the organiser's fault, nor were the weather conditions! All other aspects were very good in the circumstances.

In short: An excellent race in perfect conditions
In full: Really enjoyed this race which was run in ideal conditions. A little congested at the start but much better than last year and generally extremely well run. Managed to take 2 and half minutes of my PB so overall well pleased with the day.

In short: Unbelievable organisation and crowd support
In full: My first marathon and, although I had said it was going to be my last, I'm already planning the next one!
The whole day was fantastic for me, even though the miles between 17 and 23 were much harder than anticipated. Lost 15 minutes there which meant that I sadly didn't beat my 4 hours target. Love to try it again to beat 4 hours, especially in more suitable conditions for marathon running.

Wasn't affected by the water problems that some people encountered but did find the water stations very congested later in the race as people were walking more and seemed more desperate get to the stations. really not sure how this could be changed though.

The crowd support was fantastic and a real boost, and I'm still getting goosebumps thinking about the crowds around Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and then coming out of the bridge onto the embankment.

In short: Excellent race and local support
In full: Second time doing this race and achieved PB for the second year running, albeit by just 6 seconds! Nice to run in the warm conditions which I didn't think were too oppressive. Excellent water stations manned by really enthusiastic teams of people and there was plenty of water at the end. That said, would still prefer bottles to plastic cups to drink from. Goody bag was poor but that certainly didn't spoil an excellent event for me.

In short: Well organised with excellent PB potential and only a few small gripes
In full: Really enjoyed the event. Generally well organised on a fast course with only a couple of small inclines over the motorways. Weather was also pretty much perfect. A few relatively small gripes, all of which have been mentioned before; 1. The bottleneck at the start, although this only slowed down the first mile by about 30 seconds, 2. 2006 medal and no goody bag - an energy bar or something similar would have been nice at the end 3. Small cups of water with only three water stations and also a scrum at the end to get another small cup of water. That said, if these issues can be addressed, this would be an excellent race.

In short: Very well organised with many positives and a few negatives
In full: Really enjoyed the race although it was only my fourth organised event and second half marathon. The positives for me were the general quality of the organisation; the extremely efficient baggage drop-off with no delays at the start or finish; although described as undulating, it was an easier course than Windsor (my first half marathon) and therefore managed a PB by 4 minutes; well manned and reasonably frequent water stations
and the medal was nice. The negatives were the lack of any goody bag with something to eat at the end; the plastic cups at the water stations - I really would prefer to pay a little more and get bottles / cartons to drink from; and the queue for the toilets (although the woods were a good alternative!). Will definitely do it next year.

In short: Well organised and marshalled with good PB potential; shame about a few impatient drivers!
In full: This was very well organised and marshalled and, despite the modest undulations, has PB potential. I achieved mine anyway! Traffic was a bit of a problem early on with one or two impatient drivers who could easily have created a nasty incident. Nevertheless, would still do it again.
