In short: As ever an amazing race In full: The Munro is very much one of the best races out there, great atmosphere, amazing course... This year however something wasn't quite there with the marshalling with one missing at a key turn around point and another confused of where to send people, however even with this the race still gets a 9/10 from me. In short: Great coastal off road 10k In full: Route had to be changed at the last minute to stop folk running off the cliff in the bad weather led to a slightly shorter than usual 10k, but great fun all the same. Some challenging hills but all run-able (just), good organisation despite starting a little later than advertised. Suggestion for next year- get the local Palmers brewery to sponsor with free beer for finishers!!?? Date of review: July 20, 2015
In short: Tour de Cambridge In full: A race of two halves- first half mainly on road, lots of people around you. Second half (if you are running the marathon) across fields, paths, a bridge over a canal, much more spread out (although often with another runner in sight).
Really well marked course- only one place where it wasn't 100% clear. Good atmosphere and an absolute bargin. Date of review: March 4, 2013
In short: hard as nails, but we wouldn't have it any other way. In full: When i get round to it i'll put a full report on the internet's least exciting running blog... http://breadsweatandbeers.blogspot.co.uk/
In short: Who wants to run a flat marathon anyway? In full: The Greensands Marathon is a great race. True its tough but its all do-able and who wants to run a flat marathon anyway? The views from the Greensand Ridge are immense, the conditions underfoot are certainly enough to keep you occupied (or fall over if not) and the overall atmosphere of the race is fantastic Full race report at http://breadsweatandbeers.blogspot.com/2011/10/greensands-marathon.html Date of review: October 24, 2011
In short: From the glory of the Peak District to the centre of Derby in one epic day out In full: Great race and really well organised. Considering the length of the course they'd marked it really well. Great atmosphere and good running.
