In short: Going backwards
In full: I have greatly enjoyed this in previous years, but £25 is a mighty price hike, and really not justified. Runners need water on so hot a day quite soon after the off. Not 4 miles in. Paltry number of loos, and asking folk to queue for their race no. is a step backwards, especially when you're asked to come in the day before. The posted number worked fine in previous years. Organisationally then, this race is going the wrong way. That said, the locals responded well with hose pipes, and the medal was a beaut. Well done on the change of route. The scenery was beautiful at times.

In short: Beginners Paradise
In full: Fabulous race. Always a pleasure. beginner friendly, fabulous medal, quite flat course, and plenty of encouragement along the (traffic free) way. One lady marshall even thanked me for coming. Amazing! MK got it so right once again. Big shout to the sumo guys, who were a hoot.

In short: Heaven!
In full: Fabulous scenery, and at such a lovely time of the year. Bit of a challenge, given the amount of tractor ruts, kissing gates, etc to navigate. The old 'soft-shoe shuffle' technique won't get you very far here! Delightfully small field (after Humber Bridage last week) and friendly marshalls. Thanks to the school kids for their help too. This is a gem of a race - don't change a thing.

In short: Views like no other half that I know of
In full: Wow! Brilliant race. Plenty of hoses on so hot a day. Big crowds, both cheering us on, and in the event. Best medal I had for a long time. Bit hilly (esp. 9-10 miles) but fabulous atmosphere. Okay the car park egress was a bit grim, but it was a lovely day to lounge around on the grass sunning yourself. It's not like there was a good footy match on the telly to race home for...

In short: Just the right size. Good fun. Fab medal.
In full: Not done this before, but really enjoyed it. Plenty of free parking if you got there early. Course = bit hilly in places, but some fine sights. Lovely medal.

In short: Highly enjoyable and organised to perfrction
In full: As ever, a top event, which I simply can't fault. I like the switch in calendar date. Lots of hoses, kids with super-soakers just added another fun dimension to what I already consider one of the best halves anywahere.

In short: Blissful country run
In full: Can't really fault it. My 7th time, and always a pleasure. I don't think the Dog & Hedge are headline sponsors any more though.

In short: Rip-off
In full: Several things wrong with this one. Firstly, why bother giveing out a map of the course, when there's no map showing you how to get to the start. £16 to enter is pricey for a 10k, especially when there's an extra £3 on top of that to park, which wasn't mentioned in the bumpf I might add. My advice - stay away!

In short: Always a pleasure
In full: I adore this race. Very friendly marshalls and helpers. Plenty of support along the way and a top atmosphere. Glad to see it's getting bigger by the year, and that there's only 8 months till the next one.

In short: Organisation - Cobblers!
In full: Oh dear, oh dear. In over 200 races I have rarely come across such shambolic organisation. Delays everywhere. The start (25m), the finish (10m between finishing line and medal), the car park. Why were we not told that the car park was free, even tho there were signs saying £3.50. Indeed, why no arrows to get to the thing in the first place. This was literally a waste of my time. I will NOT be back next year.
