In short: Great race, great day, great location.
In full: Top marks to the organisers, I really couldn't agree with all the moans given but the goody bag queue and the t-shirt collection were inconvenient and should be reviewed. The course and views are amazing, being an ex-Swansea lad [now living in London] this was my 5th and most enjoyable Swansea 10k, the course is fast and flat and PB material and the freebies are well worth the fee - great water bottle BTW. The start time is debatable but remember that this is a reasonably extreme westerly location and a lot of people travel down on the day and have the extra time to get there and warm up. Me and the wife will definitely be back next year.

In short: small and friendly race, multiple laps are not motivating
In full: positives: friendly race, all abilities are welcome, cereal bar and banana at the finish, plenty of trophies to give out, very local to everyone who lives in Central London.
negatives: multiple laps (4) has blown my mind! Odd KMs were not marked and it made the race even more difficult as I couldn't gauge my pace and the remaining distance properly. Tough on the mind! All in all I don't think I will do it again.

In short: Great race and great people
In full: Fast flat course, well organised and marshalled and all the volunteers were so friendly that it topped the day off nicely. I did a PB and I am looking forward to coming back next year. Well done everyone.

In short: Great atmosphere great crowd a really well organised event.
In full: This is my 2nd Hornsey and will not be my last by a long way. 2 years ago there were some complaints about the finishing funnels but this year there was no problem, the organisation was nothing short of excellentand that includes the marshalling and policing. The run is tough as the terrain and topology changes and the hill climb 2nd time around hurts like hell but the support is terrific and spurs you on.

Undoubtedly the best part is the crowd not only along the route but also at the finish, everyone is upbeat and friendly and I have never seen so many families at an event and yes, the dougnut at the end is very worthwhile :).

My only gripe is that despite the entry fee we still had to pay for storage at the YMCA, although the money did go to charity, my concern was that I only travelled with some change on me.

Definitely one for the calender, we'll be there next year.

In short: A straight scenic run [5k in each direction] along the sea front and promenade. Ideal potential to do a PB.
In full: A straight scenic run [5k in each direction] along the sea front and promenade. Ideal potential to do a PB. Water station halfway, really warm welcoming crowds, toilets and changing facilities in a rugby ground which is literally 10 paces from the start line and runners can use the entire pitch to warm up. Usual medal and T-shirt at the end as well as lots of freebies from the sponsors. The race is chipped but my only moan is that this was purely for runner ID and my time was 25 seconds less than shown on the results. This was important for me as it was a PB for the event [my 5th time of entry] but the just the same, I can highly recommend the journey to Swansea, a great day out and I am already applying for 2007.
