In short: Hot! Well organised race with a fast, mainly flat route.
In full: I drove from Leeds to run this race and I would do so again. I thought the race was well organised, good route, easy parking (although paying on a Sunday - blimey!) loved Newark itself. Plentiful water stations but possibly better to have fewer stations but with bottled water for future, people can carry then.
Only negatives were the narrow start, if this can't be avoided how about pens or time markers as the usual slower runners did make it difficult to get a decent start? Water, as above and maybe a banana at the end?
Well done, a good experience.

In short: Challenging but enjoyable. Excellent organisation
In full: Pleased to say this is my local race. Super organisation, good support round the course, particularly at the end. The route is challenging but most of the hills are in the first 7 miles. I think the council nearly cancelled this years race to support the Jane Tomlinson 10k, I am glad they didn't!

In short: Cannot rate this race highly enough.
In full: Superb organisation, scenery, loads for the kids to do. Wonderful support from everyone in Arkendale it seemed. Marshalls were encouraging and the best I have encountered. The venue was great and loads for the kids to do pre/post race to keep them happy (if not out of the huge muddy puddles)
Course was tough due to wind and pre race rain but scenic and enjoyable (not sure about 'gentle undulations' though, the RW profile is more accurate)
My only suggestions to add to an already fantastic occasion for next year - additional toilets and maybe a V35 category.
Well done to all involved.

In short: even better than last year
In full: Well done Knavesmire Harriers! All last years small 'glitches' fixed. Perfect organisation, friendly supportive marshalls all round the course, great goody bag. Results by the end of the day is a first as far as I know for this race. You deserve your success and long may it continue.

In short: Happy with course, marshalls great - the start was a little chaotic though
In full: Well organised in most respects, received number quickly, easy to park, marshalls friendly and encouraging, loud speaker at the end a nice touch.
One gripe was the start - A number of runners lined up at the start; we were told to move back down the road so we could be walked to the start en-mass, no problem there. The starting hooter then sounded with no warning when I was no where near the start! As a faster runner I got stuck behind those who were slower; all speeds, shapes and sizes make a race and make running so fantastic but it was frustrating for me and probably for them as I weaved in and out!
Well done anyway.

In short: second time for me and 'enjoyed' it again!
In full: Lovely course. I cannot honestly fault the marshalls or the organisation, truly superb from start to finish.
A hard course but a nice part of the world to suffer in!(lucky to live 15 minutes away)
Only one tiny gripe - water in cups? Great that there were two water stations but maybe one with bottles would be a consideration next year, as would bottles at the end too.
A kit bag and a banana is however is a wonderful change to the standard Tshirt - a really useful race momento.

In short: fantastic organisation, difficult but strangely enjoyable course
In full: Couldn't fault any part of the organisation at all, my number was lost in the post and I had an email within half an hour of mine with instructions to pick another up. Hard course, mix of flat, steep hills and sharp descents. Good sense of acheivement at the end because of this though. I would do again, heaven knows why!

In short: See below
In full: Fors: Excellent organisation, nice course, friendly people, drinks stations well manned and organised, no bumping and jostling, relaxed atmosphere, food and warm surroundings after the race
Against; Lonely at times, a weeny few inclines at the end, medal (!) some might not like and out and back (I do so fine for me)Rain and more rain sapping the spirits!!!

In full: excellent race, beautiful scenery, encouraging marshalls.Very challenging course though, tough hill at mile 9. Wet weather could make this course very different though.
