In short: Well organised but rather dull route In full: V. well organised and friendly crowds but the problem is the final couple of miles are stultifyingly dull and rather dispriting. Along a motorway, then the stadium finish in sight, but another boring loop to get through. Nice people, nice crowds, good facilities though. Date of review: April 4, 2009

In short: A breathtaking route with challenging hills and fun descents. In full: This was only my second race and was a tremendous challenge but was simply wonderful. A huge ascent at the beginning was followed by flat moor-top trails and scrambling descents. There seemed to be people of many levels though this is a bit stiff for beginners (I haven't raced a lot but do train a lot). Truly one of the most memorable of mornings.
