In short: Hot and Hilly In full: My first time doing this race and it made a real change from doing city half marathons. Glorious views across the new forest and managed to see a few ponies as well! First half of race tough due to hot still day and no shade. Second half better. I certainly made full use of the drinks and sponge stations to keep cool! Very good crowd support given the rural setting of parts of the course. Date of review: September 21, 2006

In short: Amazing atmosphere considering the grey and damp conditions. A very special race. In full: This was my first London marathon and what an experience it was! The crowds were brilliant throughout and certainly kept me going in the tough last few miles. I would love to do it all again next year if I can get a place! Date of review: April 27, 2006
