In short: Shame about hill at finish In full: New route, enjoyed last 5k most, when off road. Expected a few hills but not the hill to finish - when most of us want to blast last 400m and end up with another hill. Any chance of flat finish next year? Date of review: November 16, 2008

In short: Brilliant with possibly the best marshalls ever In full: Fantastic run- weather challenging but course good mix of urban and country and hills well spaced out. Top marks must go to the marshalls and police who did fantastic job and were very encouraging and to the supporters who cheered us on in bracing conditions. Pudding looks superb and will take pride of place at Christmas dinner table Date of review: November 18, 2007

In short: better than last year In full: Much cooler weather made this far more enjoyable than last year- brilliant marshalls, firstaiders and support along route - esp lovely lady at 7k with oranges much appreciated. Was prepared for route this year so not fazed by hills. Only gripe was finish - being in with the mass finishers took 20 minutes to get medal and t-shirt!! Date of review: June 10, 2007

Hotter than expected so not a PB for me this year -only downside was dreadful finish - no idea what "official" time will be as it took ages to cross finish line, much worse than last year Date of review: April 15, 2007

In short: Not what I expected In full: Having only done local 10ks before I thought being sponsored by Big coprporate firm that this would have been better organised and better value-for-money. However, crowd and marshalls encouraging encouraging. My first half marathon so enjoyed finish!!! Date of review: March 12, 2007
