In short: Great morning out!
In full: Much better organised than expected after reading last year's ratings - although finding the place was a challenge (more signs?), and the bike route was a little lacking in signs - I think a few got lost.
All in all, the routes were enjoyable, the organisers friendly, transition area OK (despite being put together at the last minute), and I'd recommend anyone to try it!!!

In short: Fine as a Fun Run, but not as a Race
In full: The second time I've been celebrating a massive PB, only to find the route was short (remembering Cardiff Half Marathon 2010)
Pity is, it's so nearly a great event! A few comments for the organisers: Great to have 'K' markers, just make them accurate? Great to have chip timing.....just use it?....Oh yeah, don't move the start after everyone has lined up - you tend to get people ambling along with headphones on, in front of serious club runners.

In short: Excellent-again!!! Well done Brackla Harriers!
In full: So pleased that the organisers managed to keep the atmosphere that has always made this race so special! Thought it would be a little bit of a post-Christmas anti-climax, but it was as uplifting as ever! Keep up the good work Brackla!

In short: Great course, but too narrow early on
In full: Just to re-iterate what others have said. Super flat course, good atmosphere. But why didn't we use both sides of Lloyd George Ave at the start? and too many runners over-estimating their ability by starting too far forward - again!!! We can see who you are by the difference in gun and chip times......

In short: Weather great, Marshalls fantastic, water stations superb, hate the switch-backs
In full: Excellent for a "first ever event", and really well supported!
Well done to the organisers-great job! As I was fearing it wouldn't be due to the lack of pre-race info.
It's only my preference, but I wouldn't run this again if the course is the same, I just hate turning around a cone - the leg out to 23m was grim, and nearly finished me! Although I do realise options can be limited when things 'outside our control' come into play!
Keep up the good work - there's massive potential :-)

In short: Great race, but not as good as previous years
In full: I love this event, but without being able to put my finger on it, didn't enjoy it as much as the last 2 years.
The on-course marshalling was great, drink-stations superb, mile-markers all present and correct-ish!
Think it was, (a) having to park in the woods, (b) having to queue up for a chip, and (c) a downhill start(when it's crowded) with an uphill finish is the wrong way round for my liking!
All in all I really enjoyed it, hopefully a few of the teething problems which come a new course will be ironed out for next year....

In short: Some good, some bad
In full: Probably the last time I'll run this one. After doing 3 in a row, time for a break. Traffic-free is great, but after 3 goes I'm finding the route a bit dull now. I prefer a loop rather than out and back along the same section-passing other runners/cyclist going the other way.
The mystery of the extra 400m or so may be that 2 years ago, we didn't run behind that factory (about 3.5m), but ran all the way to the end of final cove (10m); last year we did the 'factory' bit, but only about half of that cove; this year we did both!
Anyway - thanks for the encouragement and enthusiasm from the Marshalls:-) No thanks for letting everyone line up then announcing a delay :-(

In short: Another great race by Sospan RR
In full: Second time for me - not much gets me out of bed early on a Sunday when it's pouring down and blowing a gale - but for this, it's worth it!
Cross-wind on the beach made it tricky, but all the same, it's a great course with every kind of terrian thrown at you!
Was really well marshalled too -probably more comfortable running than being stood for ages in the cold and wet!
One gripe - the start time should be given as "10:45-ish", delays always happen, but please let us know when we're likely to start?(It could easily have been lashing down)

In short: Gower Half:Hard as nails - but ready for more!
In full: Second year for me running this one. Much improved organisation - friendly atmosphere and a great course, with lots of mud, crazy hills, and stunning views!
Its one of those where after 3 miles or so, you get flashbacks about how tough the rest is gonna be! Major respect to the Full Marathon folk, specially as it ended up being 28 miles -just looking at the map for that one made my legs tired! Well done EL!
