In short: A good race, with the standard jobsworth marshalls.
In full: Not totally impressed with the race today. Sally Gunnell just about to speak and the guns went off. I'm sure she was pleased about that. Crowds of runners not in their pens at the start. Think the organisers need to look at London style start, breaking up the runners into pre-run pens. Went the back way to stadium, which at this stage was 1 hour before the race start, and told would have to walk long way round,( NO SIGNS SAYING ONE WAY!) which is atleast 1km, then went to warm up, and told had to walk along road another 400 metres, to then walk back to place I was originally warming up? I personally dont think the site is big enough to cope with the size of the event in terms of volume of runners, rather than the race village. Finally on a positive, excellent support from the crowd, and all volunteers connected to the event.

In short: Has lost the sparkle of previous years!
In full: This race seems to have lost the sparkle of previous years. Numbers seem to be down, and I do think certain aspects of the organisation could be better.
It would be a shame if this race was not on the calender.

In short: What an atmosphere!!!
In full: Great Race, can't fault organisation, special thanks to all the volunteers and staff who make this event great.

Lucky enough to be very near the front, so a PB is achieveable.

If you're reading this and it will be your first time next year, do the following now, even if you dont get in.

BOOK YOUR HOTEL NOW!!!! you can always cancel later if you dont get in, or give to someone else, you would be amazed how many people drove to London without anywhere to stay!!! The back of the car is not the best place to sleep, especially in London.

In short: A gentle breeze today
In full: Not bad for the first running of this race. Echo others comments about clock at the end, but not that much of an issue.
Good potential for a PB, the only issue today was the weather and we can't control that.
Nice to have a medal at the end.
See you in 2009.

In short: A evening jog in pleasent surrondings.
In full: Well organised as usual and good atmosphere at this race, which I believe comes from the opportunity for spectators to see the runners a few times around the course. The Course feels like you could run fast, however you will probably be a few seconds over your P.B, so dont push too hard and you wont be dissapointed.

A good mix of runners this year, so dont be put off entering if you think its all for club runners.

Worth doing this race as something to look forward to after the Monday blues back at work!!!

In short: A little cooler than the last couple of years!!!
In full: Not as hot as the last couple of years, so it made the race a more pleasent experience.

Thought I would struggle with running the original course this year, however hills were not that bad.

Well done Fairford!!!

See you next year!!!

In short: Guaranteed to rain on Sunday or your money back!!!
In full: Like a few others, expecting rain to help keep me cool, never appeared and turned out to be very warm.

Anyway a well organised race. Good support all the way round, water stations and energy drinks were almost being forced on you which was really good.

Course is not flat ( a couple of painfull hills, especially second time around), however a personal best is possible if you have not entered one of the big city marathons.

Thanks to the older lady at 14-15 miles for cheering me on, she could hardly walk, but still managed to come out of her house and cheers us all on.

Worth doing this race, bring your Sun-Tan lotion and it will probably rain, if you don't it will be the warmest day in April!!!

In short: Don't stand up in the Madejski Stadium!!!
In full: Well organised race, from my point of view, understand others did not get Medal's etc.
Where were the 4000 people who did not turn up then??? Forgot it was mothers day?

Why were the "joggers" given yellow numbers, really frustrates me after less than 600 metres I am going past people who should be a lot further along the road than me.

I have a great respect for the people who organised and volunteered for this as i'm sure it takes weeks of planning.

Ok, so my original point, myself and my team today tried very hard to set PB's, but when we failed we decided to go into the stadium. As soon I walked into the seating area. "can you please take a seat" I am trying to take a picture, and this will take 3 seconds!!! We managed to get to a new record of 31.97 seconds without being told to sit down, see if you can beat it next year runners!

So next year to the stadium marshall's, please allow me to stand for more than 3 seconds to take a picture.

In short: 99.9% Personal Best guaranteed
In full: P.B. Almost guaranteed, good atmosphere and humor, especially from the starter. Too busy concentrating on the race to notice the scenery. Could of done with a water station, but not essential.

In short: Good chance of a P.B.
In full: The weather and conditions were perfect for me on Sunday. Broke my PB by nearly 3 mins, should also thank the Asics Speedstars.

Although the course is not what I would described as flat, there are certainly no "steep" hills and you should be able to cope with the inclines without too much stress.

Nice to see a good mixture of runners at this event, and although it was a little boring running around the track 3 times, I guess you know what to expect.

If your looking for a P.B. you have a good chance of getting one on this track, it will just depend on the good old British Weather.
