In short: Hot long hills In full: Nice race to start the summer 10k season, too hot for a PB this year.
Easy to over take this year, due to the low turnout on previous years numbers, Race needs to be advertised more, only seems to be publicised a couple of weeks prior.
Well organized local race will be back in 2012

In short: Event improving with every year! In full: Well organized race with lots of improvements from past years. Looking forward to returning next year. Thank you St John Ambulance guys for patching me up after my fall coming into the car park. Managed a PB, with a dented pride!
Plus Points Plenty of water stations, not sure how one runner could have missed the middle one just before the 6th mile. Extra toilet facilities Timing chips More support and marshalls
Minus Points Mile markets 6 and 7 seemed out of place. Felt sorry for the later runners having to avoid the car leaving the car park. (would have hoped for better from the front runners and had respect for those at the back). Two sharp turns before the finishing line, very dangerous, should be a straight clear finish.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to more nice work racing in the summer. Date of review: March 14, 2011

In short: HIlly, but what goes up much go down In full: Lovely local race not to far from home for me. So lack of Loo's wasn't a problem, i think 4 was a little on the short side. Didnt mind standing in line for the timing chip, as sending them out would only cost money and with drop outs would end up costing the race organizators some more money and put costs up. They should have had the chip readers on the start line to to give a accuracy race time start and finish
Loved the Mars bar in the goodie bag at the end, better for those who dont like banana's! Date of review: August 17, 2010

In short: Great new route In full: What a lovely new route with lots of PB Potential.
I do agree with the comments about the lack of toliets before the race, but like with every race there will never be enough to please everyone. I dont agree about some of the comments about the new route, its was great and a lot better than last year, when having to run along a long straight road, nothing could be worst then that seeing no end in sight, this years scenic route wineing around the countryside.
Aready looking forward to next years race, fingers crossed it goes ahead. Date of review: March 16, 2010

In short: Windy In full: Great local race. Got myself a PB, which i didnt expect this morning with the windy conditions. Battled with the wind for the whole 2nd half of the race back to HQ
Agree with the comments about the missing water station and feel sorry for people having to wait for water. Have to remember this is only the 2nd year of the race and as numbers pick up the goody bag should improve and any minor problems can be addressed.
Keep up the good work Date of review: March 8, 2009

In short: Nice local race with added hills In full: The start was delayed by late runners signing up, didnt help as i already warmed up and got cold again. There should be a limit on runners, as the pavements on the hill sections are far to small for the amount of people, had to brake out of the way when one guy had a fall. Beat my time for last year by 33 sec's this was the only highlight for me. Date of review: June 22, 2008

Got a PB by just under a minute, would have one question mark over the race distance as my gps measured it to be 12.9 miles

In short: Just gets better and better, In full: Ran the race last year too, only the head wind on the return leg stop me from beating my PB from last years race, the race was well organzied and problems from last years were addressed, any problems that were picked up this year im sure will be addressed too. i felt the toilets numbers were ok, only people who got there close to the race start time would of had a problem. Just gets better and better, if only the hill got smaller and smaller Date of review: October 11, 2007
