In full: For a first time event warm congratulations are due to the organisers and many volunteers for an excellent and outstandingly friendly event. Hopefully it will grow and grow in the years to come, although a wider route will be needed by then,rather than the picturesque out and back. Thank you all.

In short: A flat fast course helped by great weather
In full: A sunny windless excellent day for running but cant really gloss over the problems with the congestion for the first five miles and dodging the runners starting off way ahead of where they should have been. Thanks go to all those helpers along the way - you are brilliant! By the way I have always been neither here nor there on the subject of runners with ipods - after a day dodging people slowing to change tunes or moving sideways without a clue you are near them I have come out against it - if you want to listen to music save it for those boring training runs - on race day join the rest of us and the the sounds of footsteps :- ) Thanks Cardiff for a great day anyway.

In short: One of best organised half marathons around
In full: Despite the fact that I didn't get the PB I hoped for a great half marathon atmosphere as usual. My only reservation is the short but sapping climbs in the last few miles - a bit of a challenge for us older and not stick thin runners! I'm not sure what the age profile was today but at 45 I did feel that I was surrounded by generation Y - so it was nice to leave just a few in my substantial wake :-)

In short: A much better event than last year
In full: Quite a few twists and turns but flat and fast - even I did a PB! The Grasscrete issue should be the priority to solve next year. Although it's hardly the end of the world bit dissappointed I had a towell less goody bag - perhaps next year if they haven't got enough they should cut them up and hand them out as flannels instead.
