In short: A great new marathon. I really enjoyed it. In full: This is a great alternative marathon to London. It was very well organised especially considering this was its first year. The atmosphere was really good and the crowds were tremendous (no doubt helped by the sunny weather). The first half definitely has a few rolling hills to climb. I hope the organisers don't ramp up the number of entrants too much in future years as I think it could potentially get very crowded.
In short: Fast course. Slick organisation. In full: My first 10-miler and I enjoyed it. It's a flat course and virtually traffic free. Very well organised. There are a few loops around the industrial park which are a bit boring scenery wise but once you are out of there it is much more pleasant. Date of review: April 2, 2010
In short: Fast course. Good atmosphere. Low key event - small number of competitors, no km markers etc. It was well organised considering it was all done at the last minute to replace the cancelled Windsor Half. Date of review: September 30, 2007
In short: This was a well organised, enjoyable race with a scenic course, somewhat hilly and with a couple of 'cross country' sections. PBs are unlikely though due to the first 2 or 3 kms being very crowded. Date of review: February 25, 2007
In short: A Big Race atmosphere and quick course. Finishing in the stadium is great fun. The route is unlikely to inspire any landscape artists but, hey, you should be concentrating on your PB not looking at the scenery! Date of review: April 10, 2006
